Chapter 18

"What's wrong Helen? Are you hiding from someone?" John asked.

"Nothing.... I think I saw my professor downstairs just now... I don't want to greet so I quickly came here." Hailey said nervously.

"Why?" John asked again.

"I don't know.. Maybe because of my grades." Hailey said before laughing awkwardly.

A few minutes later the food came and seeing the waiter serve those delicious food made Hailey smile. They started eating and Hailey was like as if she fell in love with the dishes. And John watched her enjoying, lovingly. But Hailey's fun moment was destroyed by a notification from her phone. She saw that the caller was Jin so she understood that Jin did notice her eventually. Hailey then excused herself and went downstairs. Before she could enter the room, Jin dragged her.

"Professor Jin, you" Hailey said.

"Hailey, I underestimated you. How can you enjoy eating while so much is happening?" Jin said with a serious tone.

"What?" Hailey asked confusely.

"Look." Jin showed her his phone screen that contained a picture of Hailey with that molester.

"What's going on? Why is this.. on the school Web page!?" Hailey was shocked.

"I thought you were so indulged in pleasure with other men that you have forgotten about everything else." Jin said emotionlessly.

Hailey thought for a while and then said : "Professor Jin, I need your help."

"I want to know who framed me and the evidence." Hailey said confidently which surprised Jin.

"I can help you but.... I can only give you one hour. After an hour, I'm not free." Jin said with a smile.

"Huh? But..." Hailey started thinking.

"Since you have something more important to do then forget about it..." Jin said with a fake sad smile.

"No! Wait!" Hailey quickly said before going upstairs.

"Finished your call?" John asked.

"Well.... John oppa.... Something urgent came up. I have to go now so I can't eat with you.. I'm so sorry." Hailey said with a sad face.

"What happened? Any problem? Do you need my help?" John asked.

"No. No need. I'm so sorry that I cannot eat with you but next time I will treat you." Hailey said.

"Foolish girl. We can surely have a meal together but you don't have to treat me." John got up and patted her head.

Hailey was so touched by his words and gesture. She thought how can there be such a good man like him in this cruel world. She left the room and found Jin outside standing with a cold look on his face. Hailey felt that he might have eavesdropped their conversation. Jin told her to get in the car and she finally came back to her senses.

"Well.. Professor, where are we going?" Hailey asked.

"To the tech department to check IP." Jin said with the same cold look on his face.

Hailey's POV//

The car stopped in front of a huge building. When I saw the name on the building, KS Group Building, I was stunned. This was the most famous financial company of magnates.

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked.

"come." he just ordered me.

I went inside with him and looked around. Everything look so modern and luxurious.

"GM has been notified of your visit to our tech department, I'm here to serve you. What can I do for you?" a well dressed man who seemed like the manager, came and asked Jin.

"Help me to locate someone." Jin said as he gave his phone to him.

"Umm Professor, he is the department manager of SK then why is he being so polite with you?" I asked curiously.

But he avoided me and went ahead. We entered a big room which was the tech department and after seeing as the employees quickly stood up.
Are all the workers here fear the department manager?

"Mr. Kim said miss, please wait here. I have asked them to check before a few minutes." The department manager said as he bowed.

"Ok." Jin said emotionlessly.

This person really has no manners. The department manager helped him and he just said "Ok"?

"Thank you so much Mr. Manager!" I said with a big smile.

"No. It's nothing. You are too kind and sweet. This is what we are supposed to do. If there is nothing else then I shall take my leave now. Mr. Kim, do let me know if you need any help." he said before leaving the room.
