Chapter 10

Mrs. Su is the wife of Hailey's father. But Hailey calls her Mrs. Su not mom.

"Is life so bad in the hostel that you came to the flat your father bought for you?" Mrs. Su said in a taunting tone.

"I remember you said clearly that you want nothing from us when you left home." Mrs. Su continued.

"I'm going stay here only for a night, I will leave tomorrow." Hailey replied.

"Oh? It seems like you are facing some difficulties. Zay (driver), give her some money from my bag. She is still a Su, we can't let her disgrace us by letting her live a life of a peasant." Mrs. Su said.

"Don't you think your hards are too harsh? When mom was alive, she told me that the beauty of the lips should match with the beauty of the words." Hailey spoke.

Hailey's words made Mrs. Su very angry but before she could say something, Hailey turned around and started walking. Then she ordered the driver to drive and they left.

After walking for a while, Hailey sat on a corner of the road and held her knees close to her chest. It started raining and Hailey started crying while calling her mom.

She was crying in the rain while covering her head but suddenly she could not feel the droplets of rain falling on her anymore. She lifted her head and saw Jin holding an umbrella over her.

Jin got on his knee and asked Hailey what happened this time while wiping her tears. Hailey couldn't control her emotions anymore, she hugged Jin tightly and started crying like a baby again. Jin didn't know what happened with her, what was making her miserable and why was she crying but he didn't question her. He just hugged her back.

After a while she released him while blushing and asked him :
"Professor Jin, why are you here?"

"I was just passing by." Jin answered while pulling her up.

"Are you sure?" Hailey asked while shivering.

"Get in the car." Jin said while giving her the umbrella.

"What?" Hailey asked.

"I don't want to repeat myself again." Jin said while going towards the driver's seat.

Hailey got into the car and asked Jin where were they going. She was surprised when Jin stopped outside a shopping mall. Hailey felt uneasy while entering the mall as she was wet but Jin held her shoulder and walked towards an expensive shop. Jin ordered the stylist to pick suitable items for her.

The stylist dolled her up and packed about 5 outfits for her. So Hailey asked Jin to that if she can return some as she didn't need so much. She also told him that she would pay back him after getting some money but Jin just said that she won't remember and walked out.

"Hailey." Jungkook called.

"Jungkook? What are you doing here?" Hailey asked.

"I'm here for shopping and who is he?" Jungkook asked while look at Jin suspiciously.

"No no. It is definitely not what you are thinking. All my things and wallet were stolen. The hostel also kicked me out and this is my professor from university." Hailey replied.

"What?! Your wallet was stolen and you don't live in the hostel anymore? Then where are you living now?" Jungkook asked her while holding her arms.

"I don't know.." Hailey replied sadly.

"Then let me take you back to your home." Jungkook suggested.

"No. I don't want to." Hailey rejected.

"Why? Yesterday when I met uncle Su, he said he missed you a lot. Why don't you come with me so that we all can have a meal together." Jungkook said.

Hailey lowered her head and tried release herself from Jungkook's hands but Jungkook took her wrist and said :
" Hailey, how long has it been since you last visited your family? Just come back with me!"

Flashback //

Little Hailey peaked through the door and saw her father and Mrs. Su praising their daughter. After Hailey's father got married to Mrs.Su, they completely ignored her and put all their attention to her step sister. Whenever Hailey wanted to complain or ask for something to her father, Mrs. Su used to prevent her and abuse her.
