"Come in." Jin said from inside."What to do now?! He will surely be angry . Hailey, I don't dare to go in." Wendy said while holding my arm.
I took a deep breath and then opened the door, Wendy followed me. After getting inside I saw Jin fixing his tie and an unhappy woman standing beside him, Suzen. He asked her to get out and she angrily got out after eyeing me. Why is she so rude.
"Well ... Professor Jin...Hailey and I are here to request for your forgiveness." Wendy said.
Jin didn't say anything so she again started talking.
"Yesterday was Hailey's birthday so we went to the club for celebration. We enjoyed too much and forgot about the time...that's why we were late. We are sorry . It's our first time, please let us off and don't mark us absent."
"First time?" He questioned.
"If I remember correctly, Hailey Su was late on the first lesson right?"
Oh no
"That's because" he didn't let me finish.
"Because of what? Because your boyfriend broke up with you? Or because you were celebrating another birthday. I don't know how many times you have been let off by other professors but all these tricks won't work on me ." He stated .
How could he say all that?!!
Wendy and I left the room after that. Wendy being Wendy couldn't control her anger anymore and started cursing him in front of me.
"It's ok Wendy, I told you he wouldn't let us off." I said.
"But...how does he know that yesterday was not your birthday?"
Oh my god! She's smart!
"Hmmm ... I wonder why .." I said.
"There's something wrong, Hailey." She said and we stopped walking.
She came near me and whispered in my left ear : "I noticed that recently you and Professor Jin are getting too close."
3rd person POV//
Jin was driving when got a notification. He checked his phone and saw that Hailey texted him. She wanted to talk to him so she called her at a restaurant. Jin was curious about what she wanted to talk to with him. He then drove to the restaurant Hailey texted about.
Hailey's POV//
I was waiting for him at the restaurant. My mind was a mess. "Recently you and Professor Jin are getting too close." Wendy's words kept repeating on my mind. And without even noticing I started thinking about Jin and my "moments" together. No no no! What am I thinking! Soon Jin entered the restaurant and took his seat. I took a deep breath and passed him an envelope.
"Professor, this is the money that you gave me to buy things when I was homeless. The rest is for food and staying in your house." I said.
"What's this ?" He seemed confused.
"I know you want to know from where I got so much money being a normal student but for a personal reason I don't want to explain. I just want to let you know that this not black money or something." I stated.
"Done?" He asked without any emotion and I just looked at him.
"....yep." I said as I clenched the hem of my dress.
"Anything else?" He asked while raising his eyebrow.
".......you have nothing to say ?" I asked.
"What should I say?" He asked with a smile.
"Are you waiting for me to praise you?" He continued as he rested his chin on his hand.
"By returning you this money, I hope that you can forget whatever happened between us. In the future, we don't owe each other anything and treat me only as a student, I want to continue living my normal university life." I said .
"Oh really? Then do you think that inviting me to dinner alone will let us have a normal university life?" He said tauntingly.
His sentence made me upset and I looked away. When I looked at the table in the end of the room, I noticed someone familiar which caught my attention. That person seemed to also notice us as he approached our table.
"President Kim, What a coincidence." He said to Jin .
And I finally remembered him, he is the ex- principal of our university. Oh no! He saw us together.......
