Chapter 35

Hailey's POV //

I didn't sleep well last night.Ugh I also missed my first morning class.

"Hailey!" Wendy shouted my name as I was coming to my classroom.

"What happened to you.? You look like a panda." She said while inspecting my face.

"You were also absent in the first class. You better tell me what happened last night!"

"Calm down Wendy, it's a long story." I said with a tired look on my face.

"Oh come on! Did you sleep with someone last night? You smell like a man." She said with a smirk.

"Wendy!." I said loudly with a slap on her arm.

"Oh did you just blush." She started teasing me more.

"No I didn't."

"Class dismissed." Our Economics teacher announced and we started packing.

"Hailey, come here, I have something to tell you." I gulped and then approached him.

"The hostel issue regarding you has been investigated and it turns out that you have been wrongly accused. So, you can come back whenever you want to." He said and my face lit up after hearing him.

"But..did you find out who was the person who accused me?"

"I'm not sure about that but we're sorry that you had to go through all this."

"It's not the faculty's fault so please don't be sorry."

Now that I can return to my hostel, I don't have to stay at Professor Jin's place anymore. I should be glad but why am I feeling....No! What the hell am I thinking!

"Professor Jin..." I raised my face and saw him.

I have to do this!

"Professor Jin, why did you come?"

"Get in first." I didn't want anyone to see us so I got in, thinking that he's going to have a small talk.

"Pro-"

"There's going to be a party tonight and you have to be present their with me. Tell me what you want to after that."

"What? Another party and you want to take me?" I said with an annoyed expression.

"Just a dinner party. And... Mayor Su will be there too."

What? He knows about him. Then what does he plan to do?

"Professor, I'm your student and nothing else so it's inappropriate if you take me to your parties and let me stay at your house." I said but he didn't respond and stayed focused on his driving.

"I'm grateful that you let me stay but-" he didn't let me finish.

"But what?" He stopped the car and looked at me with a serious expression.

"We're teacher and student?" He asked.

"Yes." I said confidently looking into his eyes.

"Do you like me?" He asked making my confidence fly away like a bird.

I didn't expect him to ask me that. At this point even I was confused if I was actually in love with this old but young looking finance professor of mine. But I knew that I was afraid of falling in love again.

"I...don't." I said looking away.

"You can't lie to me." He said making me feel nostalgic but I couldn't understand why.

Maybe both of us liked each other but I knew it was not possible for us to be together. No, that one night stand and his handsome face is not the reason. After spending time with him I felt that someone actually cares about me. He is immature and also mature. He can be silly but also witty. He can be intimidating and also caring.

"We have arrived at the beauty salon, take this bag and go get ready with their help." He said as he gave me a shopping bag from back seat.

I didn't want to argue with him at the moment so I quietly got out of the car, heading towards the salon. I didn't know if he wanted me or liked me but I knew that even if we both liked each other, we were still student and teacher.

At the salon I got dressed with the outfit Jin bought for me. A peach silk midi dress with flowy sleeves, a classic pair of medium length heels and handmade resin earrings. It looked like he took his time while selecting them. I loved the whole outfit and also the soft glam makeup they did on me.

The hotel was luxurious, everyone was wearing elegant clothes and gave off elite vibes. I felt nervous and separated. I wondered how Jin, a university professor, was able to attend such a high class party. I knew he had some other profession or belonged to a rich family. He could get any rich pretty girl he wanted with his class and looks but then why me. It felt like a movie. Hand in hand, we both entered and then I immediately noticed them, my biological father and step mother and sister. When Jin noticed them too, he held my hand tightly, indicating that he was there for me.

"Everyone, attention please!." A man started speaking.

"Please allow me to introduce our vip guest, CEO of KS Group, Mr. Kim Seokjin."

After hearing him I closed my eyes and let out a sigh. I knew he had some other profession but I was relieved that he was not a mafia or something like in the fan fictions.

By looking at the people around us I could sense them praising him for being both handsome and talented. Then I saw my step family's reaction and they seemed jealous and shocked. Honestly, even I was surprised.

"This time Mr. Kim is with a pretty lady. May I ask who is this miss?"

Oh boy! Now I felt awkward and more nervous. But before I could properly process anything Jin pulled me close to him by my waist.

"She is Hailey.....

My fiancé."
