Moya and I enter the safe house shortly after we enter the hallway.  The safe house is just a huge hidden cave filled with everything needed in a house.  It's the safest and most secret place in the whole Hidden Cave.  It's the main reason why our village is called the Hidden Cave.  Only people who live in the Hidden Cave know where the safest place is.

Moya and I quickly find Heizu and Deizu along with a bunch of other young kids and kids our ages.  The young kids are all lounging about the safe house, talking and laughing quietly, as to not wake the sleeping fathers and their kids.  I also notice some mothers sleeping with their babies.  Heizu and Deizu are playing around with some of the other village kids.

After what feels like forever, Mom and Aunt Ninfu, along with plenty of the Hidden Cave's Shinobi, arrive in the safe house.  By this point, all fathers and mothers that were sleeping are wide awake and alert.  "Don't worry, everyone," Mom addresses the group, "the people responsible have been caught and are being held captive in the prison.  You may all return to your normal daily routine."

"Thank goodness!" I hear a young mother exclaim, picking up her baby.

"You weren't actually worried, were you, Kagayaku?" the young mother's friend inquires.  "Lady Ninfu is the best and strongest Dōkutsukage we've ever had!  There's no way our village would ever be hurt with her as the leader!"  A bunch of cheers of agreement arises from the crowd and I notice Mom turn red around the ears.  Everyone begins to leave the safe house.  Mom, Aunt Kiri, Moya, Heizu, Deizu, and I make our way back home as well.

"Moya, Yōsei," Mom addresses us, "go to sleep early.  You'll need to start heading to the Hidden Leaf first thing tomorrow morning.  Make sure to pack warm clothes.  We don't want you to die of hypothermia!"  Moya and I nod our heads and make our way up to our rooms.

We say good night and I enter my bedroom.  I change out of my current outfit and into a pair of pajamas.  During the night, I think around midnight, I'm woken up from my head beginning to throb.  I instinctively sit up and hold it, hoping the pain will pass quickly, as it has in the past.  However, it doesn't pass quickly.  In fact, it stays throbbing for about another half hour until visions start appearing in front of my eyes.

The first vision is of me attending the Chūnin Exams with Moya and a boy.  The next vision is of me becoming a Jōnin a few years later.  A couple of years after that, there's a battlefield filled with Shinobi from the Seven Great Nations --- Land of Caves, Land of Valleys, Land of Wind, Land of Fire, Land of Water, Land of Lightning, and the Land of Earth.  Most of them are alive, but there are also plenty of dead bodies as well.  The next vision is of something a good few years later.  It's of a baby girl and a baby boy.  The girl has my teal hair, but the boy has black hair, which he most likely got from his father.

When the visions pass, my head stops throbbing, however, my senses seem keener and sharper.  I get out of bed and quietly make my way across the hall to my bathroom.  I turn on the light after I close the door and look into the mirror.  What I see in return is nothing special.  At least, not right away.  After I wash my hands and dry off my face, I look back into the mirror and notice something new.  My eyes are not their normal lilac purple.  Instead, they're half black and half white.

I've unlocked my Anaguma!  I think happily to myself

I've unlocked my Anaguma!  I think happily to myself.  I let out a soft squeal and smile brightly.  But wait, that doesn't make sense.  The Anaguma can only be opened through trials of the mind and body.  Trials that enhance your senses one at a time and trials that enhance your combat skills.  Well, that's the longer one of two options.  The second option is by opening them through a very powerful emotion.  Some examples are hatred, helplessness, love, determination, or sadness.  It just doesn't make sense why I would unlock mine after a throbbing pain in my head and then visions appearing out of nowhere.  I exit the bathroom after turning off the light and head back into my room.  I lay back down on my bed and pull the covers over myself.  I'll talk to Mom about it first thing in the morning.

I'm woken up to a knock on my door.  "Come in," I yawn, sitting up and rubbing my eyes.  Mom enters my bedroom, smiling.

"Time to get up and get ready!" Mom informs me.  "You leave for the Hidden Leaf today!"  I nod my head and get out of bed, stretching.  I go over to my dresser and change into the outfit I wore yesterday before I went to bed.  I slip my headband, which doubles as earmuffs, over my ears to keep them warm while Moya and I travel.  I attach a little cover over the top of my sandals to keep my toes warm and wrap a cloak over myself to keep me warm.  I pack as many clothes as possible into my bag before using a Secret Clan Jutsu to extend the bag to keep filling it up.

I head downstairs and find Moya eating some breakfast.  I eat my breakfast once Aunt Kiri hands it to me.  After Moya and I finish eating, Mom hands us enough boxed lunches for the trip to Moya's place in the Hidden Leaf.  "Oh!" I snap my fingers. "Mom, I wanted to ask you something."

"What is it?" Mom inquires as she, Moya, and I begin to make our way to the entrance of the Hidden Cave.

"Is it possible to unlock the Anaguma through a throbbing head pain?" I inquire, keeping it short and simple.

"No," Mom shakes her head.  "Why do you ask?"

"Well, last night, around midnight, I think," I begin, "I woke up to a throbbing pain in my head.  After about half an hour, I had four different visions of things that I think will be happening in the future.  When I looked in the mirror after splashing some water on my face to make the pain go away, I noticed that I had unlocked my Anaguma."

"Incredible!" Moya exclaims.  "No one in the Main Branch has been able to have visions for generations!"

"What do you mean?" I inquire, tilting my head.

"Yōsei," Mom addresses me, gaining my attention.  "I haven't told you everything about the history of the Tanuki Clan.  I was hoping I wouldn't have to until you grew up and married Goburin.  Since we don't have much time, I'll keep my explanation simple and short."
