Chapter 5: Fight 2.0

Ella was able to dodge it, just in time. But if Zeke is there...

That must mean John was there too.

Sure enough, Ella caught a quick glance over Zeke's shoulder, and sure enough, there he was.

Dude, is he really going to keep going at this until he beats me up? Ella thought. She punched Zeke in the face, and slammed him against the wall.

"Ugh," Zeke groaned. He tried to wriggle free, but Ella was too strong. "You'll pay for that, you b*tch!" he shouted. Ella kept a firm grip on him. She saw John charging at them really fast. In less than a second, he was next to them, and in even lesser time he aimed a punch at Ella.

But that's Zeke's ability! Ella thought as she dodged his hit just in the nick of time. Wait, she thought. What if... what if he can copy abilities? That means that once I activate my ability, he'll be able to use it. Should I do it or not?

She dodged another punch. He kicked at her, which missed her body by a millimeter. He's really good at fighting. Plus he already has an ability. She decided to try to take him down by fist-to-fist. Besides, it wasn't like Zeke's ability could shoot lasers or something. But she had to keep Zeke down. She was about to throw him aside when she remembered her friends were still there.

"Can someone help me and keep Zeke down?" Ella asked. Her friends were apparently shocked. Ethma nodded. "Pin him to the ground," she suggested. "Keep your foot on his head. I don't want to use violence, but..."

"Me neither," Ella agreed. "But I have to, or else we'll get our asses sent to the hospital." She dodged another attack from John. Isen went to join the fight. His eyes glowed, and he lunged at John.

"Trash," John spat out. "I beat you once before, you want me to do it again?"

Isen froze, probably remembering how painful it was to be sent to the infirmary by this dude. But he aimed an attack on him anyway.

"At least I'm stronger now!"

John dodged with ease, and he punched at Isen so fast that Ella's eyes almost couldn't keep up with the fight. Isen barely avoided the hit.

Remi was the only one who look mystified at John. "John, why are you attacking us for no reason?"

John made a face like Remi had just told him to go eat a sour lemon.

"Because she was looking at me weirdly this morning, tricked me into slamming my own face against the wall, and ran away, b*tch!!"

When he called Remi that, Ella absolutely exploded with anger. She ran at him barehanded, and hoped to punch him in the face. John seemed shocked that she would commit something very close to suicide, but before Ella could reach him, something tingled her neck. She turned around to see the Doc(assuming that from his white clothes) frowning down at her, his ability activated, which gave her the creepy-crawlies. His blue hair was slicked back on his head, and his yellow eyes reminded Ella of the full moon on Halloween.

"What is going on here?" he asked in a scary and intimidating voice.

"Uh, we got... into a fight?" Ella said. Geez, are school nurses supposed to be scary?

"Today, I have something. Very. Important. I don't want to be late. Do. I. Make. Myself. Clear?" the doc said.

"Umm, yessir," Ella said. She felt like his intentions were more like scaring the crap out of her than scolding her as one might scold a kid who ate too much cookies.

"So, what are y'all waiting for? SCRAM! And yes, I'm talking about you too," he said, looking at John with that last remark.

John didn't look amused. He glowered at the doc, and didn't deactivate his ability when everyone else did(including Zeke). John clenched his teeth and balled his hands into fists.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" the doctor barked. "Scram!"

John obviously wasn't very happy, but he deactivated his ability, and stormed out of the scene. Ella and the others went into a different direction.

John was lost in his thoughts as he tromped down the hallway. That brown haired girl... she seemed strangely familiar. I can't think who, though. Maybe from New Bostin?? Well, she's most likely useless sh*t, too. I never had a true friend who has never betrayed me before. I had Claire and Adrion, and they turned out to be faking. Next came Arlo, and then...her. Personally, that had been the most painful betrayal of all. I helped her so much, and yet, she didn't take my side. Actually, ditch that. Probably because it was the most recent one happening. John shook his head, and decided to take his mind off these things.

It was night time, and John was getting ready to go to sleep. He thought, I'm glad that asshole Blyke doesn't room with me anymore. Ran off in fear of me. Coward. John tucked himself under the covers and quickly dozed off to sleep.

"Yay! You're IT!"

"Hey! That's not fair! You used your ability!"

Adrion laughed as 3-year old him and John chased each other around.

"Um, hi," a brown-haired girl with bright turquoise eyes stepped out from behind a tree. "Can I join you guys?"

"Sure!" the two boys said simutaneously.

"I'm John," said John.

"I'm Adrion," said Adrion.

"Uhh... I'm Ella," the brown haired girl said.

"John's IT!" Adrion told Ella.

The scene changed.

John and Adrion looked a little older than before, about 6 years old.

"Where is she?" asked John, looking into an empty house.

"I don't know, she just disappeared!" Adrion replied, looking around.

"Where's her parents?" asked John.

"All gone," Adrion replied.

John and Adrion looked mystified. They had one question on their mind: Where...?

A/N: Surprise! Yeah, now I decided to start updating on late Wednesday nights or Thursday sometimes. Yes, I decided to follow the schedule of the real unOrdinary(well, mainly). Also, there's something else...

Yeah, I changed it to John's POV. But after all, this is a third-person view, so... don't be surprised when I change back and forth between people's POVs. It's going to seldom happen in this fanfiction, but I've sort of decided to write a sequel where it might happen a LOT. I haven't exactly made up my mind yet, but...
