Charlie's POV

I walked down the busy sidewalks of New York, a coffee in my hand. I occasionally took a sip but I mainly had it there to keep my hand warm on this chilly afternoon. I used to hate busy towns so I am honestly so surprised, well still surprised that I love New York. Something about the buzzing of people as they zoomed past me brought me a sense of peace.

It had been about a week since the talk with my dad. I had ignored all texts from Jacob knowing that my dad would be keeping a close eye on me for the next while. I would occasionally see men in black suits following me around but keeping a distance. He was keeping tabs and I knew he could easily get into my phone if he wanted.

As I was passing by someone they bumped shoulders with me, making me spill my coffee on down the front of my shirt. I let out a hiss as the burning liquid touched my skin through my shirt. The person stopped momentarily before walking away. Aggravated I chased after them.

"Hey! Hey you!" I said pushing my legs faster as they began speed walking away. Bad day to wear heel boots. Finally he turned down an ally. I froze and reached my hand down to check to see if I had my gun with me. Once I felt the cold metal on my fingertips I turned and followed him down the ally.

I noticed the man standing at the end of the ally looking at the brick wall in front of him.

"Hey dickhead. You know you should apologize for bumping into someone like that." I called out after him. He didn't move as I had gotten closer. I heard the noise of something hitting the ground behind me, making the hair on the back of my neck stand.

"I'm sorry Charlie." I heard someone mutter before I felt a large amount of pressure on the back of my neck, before everything went black.

"Quiet you idiot, she will wake up!" Someone said. I was to out of it to even try and recognize the voice.

"Just based on her body language she is waking up." Another one snapped.

"Can you all just shut the fuck up already." I groaned rolling my head over to the side and trying to sleep more.

"Oh hell no. Wake up." I heard another voice speak up before I felt myself get lifted up and was sat in a sitting position. I opened one eye and it instantly locked with a familiar set of hair. Both of my eyes opened and I looked around the room. A smile made its way onto my lips.

"Blake! Zander! Max! Hello idiots!" I exclaimed and tackled Blake into a hug. He let out a laugh  and hugged me back.

"It has been years! How have you goons been!" I said hugging the rest of them before laying back down in the bed as a sharp pain ran through the back of my head. My hand reached back to rub the spot, the three of them eyed me skeptically.

"How hard did you idiots hit her. You're actually going to get shot." The familiar voice of Cade said. I smiled before my eyes went wide.

"Where the hell am I?" I questioned.

"Italy." Cade answered quickly. My eyes narrowed.

"And why the hell am I in Italy." I pushed. Cade simply shrugged and sat on the bed next to Blake.

"You'll have to ask your boy toy why. He was the one that had these idiots go get you." Cade commented reaching over and grabbing a cookie off of the platter that I hadn't noticed before.

"It is like how we met!" Max exclaimed letting out a fit of laughter. I just raised an eyebrow at him, a smile played on my lips. Cade looked over at us with a confused look.

"How did you guys meet?" He asked suddenly interested in our conversation.

"Back when I was in high school these three goons were hired to kidnap me. They had the perfect timing too. Jacob and I had gotten into a huge fight moments before and then they showed up and grabbed me." I said letting out a small laugh at the memory.

"How long did it take Jacob to find you?" Cade asked with a smirk. I shrugged. I was asleep for most of the time so I really didn't know how long I was gone.

"About a day. A little over. Charlie here let us escape but we had gotten caught by Victoria. Charlie somehow convinced Jacob to give us a chance and we were sent out on many different missions." Zander explained. Cade nodded slowly, taking in all of the information he was just told.

We all had spent about an hour catching up and it was honestly really nice. They all decided it was time to leave when they heard the front door downstairs opened. Cade had also excused himself as Jacob had entered the room.

Jacob's eyes scanned over me. He seemed pleased, well that was until his eyes zeroed in on the ice pack behind my neck and the huge red mark. His eyes flashed with anger.

"I said to not hurt you. Those mother fuckers are so stupid." He mumbled before walking over to me. He sat down on the bed softly and just looked down at me.

"You have been ignoring me." He commented playing with the bracelet on my wrist. I pursed my lips and just stared back.

"Why?" He questioned looking at me in eyes.

"My father has been keeping tabs on me. He wants me to tell him about you. I don't know why." I spoke quickly. He nodded slowly before something flashed in his eyes but it was gone before I could pick up on what it was. Jacob let out a sigh before leaning down and rested his head on my stomach, his arms wrapped around my waist holding me tightly to him.

"I missed you." He mumbled before placing a kiss on my stomach. I let out a laugh and began playing with his hair.

"I missed you too idiot." I said. Not very long after saying that Jacob's breaths had evened out and I realized he had fallen asleep. With a small smile I close my eyes and just enjoyed the feeling of being back in his arms once again.
