Charlie's POV
Everyday Luke sits in my cell. We don't always talk but he stays here. Sometimes he does paperwork, sometimes he reads a book, other times he just sits there with his eyes closed. Sometime we talk. It's nothing big but just simple things.
Every morning he would bring me a cosmic brownie while every night he would bring me a cookie for dessert. He treated me as if I were a friend that were simply staying the night, but the constant slaps through the day from his workers reminded me that is was anything but that.
Lukes only rule is no permanent damage. Also no hitting that hard.
"Good morning Charlie." Luke mumbled walking into my cell. He quickly came over and sat in his normal seat next to the bed. I turned my head towards him and noticed how unlike normal nothing was in his hands.
"You know when Jacob gets here is going to kill you." I said looking forward. I heard Luke let out a grunt.
"The chances are quite high but not zero." He spoke quietly. Based on how long I've slept here and woke up I've been here for a week. The longer I've been here the more I think Luke doubts how this will end.
"Do you really think you will win this?" I asked turning towards him. He pursed his lips and looked up.
"I did at first. I was so confident that we were strong enough to take down the devil himself." Luke paused.
"So what do you think now?" I asked. He chuckled lowly and shook his head.
"We would be lucky to even survive ten minutes against him." He pursed his lips and looked up to the ceiling.
"I thought I wanted this. To take him down and take his spot as number one. Hell that sounds awesome and I would take it but at this point it's like a .1% chance of that even happening." He said shaking his head.
"It's a little too late to turn back now." I said with a shrug. He turned towards me and rolled his eyes.
"Am I a bad guy Charlie?" He asked turning towards me. I pursed my lips and thought over my answer.
"You are not a bad person but you have made and are making some very dumb choices that you can't back out on." I said. He slowly nodded and looked away from me.
"Charlie I'm going to die aren't I?" Luke said turning back towards me. This is when I finally realized the tears slowly leaking from his eyes. Even through all the stuff he has done my heart aches for him.
"I don't kn-" I started but he cut me off.
"Be honest with me Charlie. If Jacob were to walk through those doors right now would be kill me?" He asked. I sighed and looked down at my hands. That was an answer enough to make him nod and look away.
"Not that you should get away what you have done because you deserve a lot of pain and suffering, but why haven't you tried running? You have an upper hand, no one knows who you are besides me, Mike, and Laura." I asked turning towards him. Luke quickly whipped his tears before shrugging.
"Jacob has been close to catching onto who I am for the past while now. It's just a matter of time until he gets someone to help him. Once he has that we would be found quickly, no matter where I go." He explained. I nodded agreeing. Jacob would never let him get away with this.
"You know you deserve a lot for what you did." I said looking at him. He looked over towards me before his jaw clenched.
"I know." He spoke gruffly. With one last look towards me, he stood up and walked away.
Jacob's POV
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Ben asked as him, Cade, Austin, and I stood in the airport ready to pick up Charlie's father.
"It is 100% not. That man is an asshole." Cade exclaimed in a hushed whisper. I rolled my eyes before scanning the area in look for the familiar man.
After some time I finally spotted him. He walked over towards us with his shoulders back slightly and his chest buffed, trying to show power. I however do not and will not be afraid.
"Ah Jacob. Long time no see. Hello again Ben." Charlie's dad said when he got close enough. Ben shifted uncomfortably before turning away. Charlie's dad smirked before turning towards me.
"Let's go. We have a lot to discuss." I said turning and walking towards the exit of the airport. The group followed behind me silently.
As we got back to my place, Charlie's Father was unamused and wanted out of the car. I wanted out of the car the for the soul purpose of getting the hell away from him.
"Follow me to my office. Austin come." I said turning and walking towards the house. I could hear Charlie's father trying to start conversation with Austin but he hadn't said a word. He also was caught up on how much of a shitty dad he was towards Charlie.
As we arrived to my once torn up office I pulled the door open. I noticed the maids replaced all of the broken vases and all of the scattered papers were folded into neat piles. With a quick nod of approval I walked behind my desk and sat down. Austin and Charlie's dad sat down in front of me.
"I want to see it." Charlie's dad spoke. I knew what he was talking about but I kept a straight face. He rolled his eyes and moved his hand for me to continue. I still hadn't spoke.
"Show me or I will get back on a plane and go back to America. I am your only hope to find her." He spoke with a smirk. I scowled at his threat before standing up and walking off into one of the side rooms. I quickly typed in the code to my safe. Millions of dollars worth of necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings sat in front of me.
I quickly grabbed the blue velvet box and shut my safe. I checked the lock and make sure it actually locked when I shut it. With the reassurance I walked back out.
Austin stood leaning against the wall glaring at Charlie's dad who sat looking at his nails. As he noticed my appearance he turned towards the box in my hand. A smirk over came his features. I flipped the lip open revaluing the millions of dollar necklace. Charlie's dad reached forward to touch it but I quickly shut the lid. He scowled at me.
"You will get this as soon as Charlie is back here safe, and alive." I said sternly. Charlie's dad rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
"When does this start?" He questioned.
"Now."
Like pretty much always I wrote this half asleep so sorry for errors! I hope you enjoyed!
