Amura and Five arrived in front of a cute hotel.
They subtly approached the front door, but The Handler already took notice of them.
"Five, Amura, I've been waiting for you." They looked at each other before entering the room.
Seeing Agnes, the waitress back at the Griddy's Doughnuts, tied up and on top of a boiling water.
"You must really like doughnuts." The boy muttered, as they eyed the old lady.
"Help me!" Agnes plead in a muffled voice, as her mouth was taped by Cha Cha earlier.
The girl shifted her gaze from the poor old lady to the blond sitting on the bed just behind the woman.
"It's been a while." The Handler stated.
"Three days." The brunette said, her arms crossed.
"For you, maybe. But for me, it's been a lot longer since I've seen those adorable little shorts and trendy turtleneck with a vest."
"Well, you've had time to heal." Five replied as The Handler sighed.
"Luckily, for the three of us, time... is the one thing my organization has an abundance of." She walked towards the two.
"Got your message, by the way." The boy in adorable little shorts stated.
"Nice packaging, but so much for Commission protocol." The girl with a trendy turtleneck with a vest added.
"There have been... a lot of changes since the two of you left the Commission. You really did some damage." The Handler started while taking a snack from the table.
"The briefcases were all but destroyed, to say nothing of the..." She crossed her arms in front of the two kids, "...highly trained personnel you killed. After all, what is an institution if not for..." She said while touching Five's face.
"What do you want?" Amura asked impatient and annoyed at her being touchy.
"...To be happy. To have a simple... unfettered life, to... do the work my superiors require. But... you two being here, well, it complicates all that." The woman continued as she walked to the couch to sit down.
"Billions of people are about to die tonight. You can change that." The boy stated, impatient as well.
"Tonight, tomorrow. So little difference in the scheme of things. Don't you remember the Commission's raison d'être? What's meant to be is meant to be, or, as I like to say, que será, será." The blond woman replied.
The mentally old man was about to snap in anger but the brunette beat him to it, "It's bullshit in any language."
"Why did you call us here?" Five asked after taking a look at an angry Amura.
"I wanna offer you a choice. Everyone's going to die tonight, but... unlike the rest of the world, you two have a way out." The older-looking lady started.
"You can abandon your family and skip ahead to the apocalypse take a walk about for a few decades, wondering if I'll come back and offer you a job again... or you can stay here, with your family, and... die a horrible death." She ended with a laugh while opening a champagne.
The Handler instantly switched her attention to the girl, "As for you my dear."
This confused the two, as they thought that the offer was for the both of them.
"You'll get to go back to the time when your Mother was alive. Back when you were 13 years old... You can repeat the timeline as much as you want... Or, you can just stay here with Number Five and also die a horrible death." The woman still chuckles at that last option.
