Ch. 23

Luther growled in pain when his back hit the ground from his fall, the two children who was hiding out in Sissy's house approached the large man.

"Luther, you all right?" Five asked him.

"Five, he fell from the sky." Amura looked at the boy as if he was ridiculous.

"His body was built different than the rest of us." He replied with an eye roll.

"Oh, I think I swallowed my tongue." Luther finally said.

"Luther, if you swallowed your tongue, you wouldn't be talking, you big moron. Come on, on your feet." Five told his brother and the two 16-year old kids helped him up.

"Hey, what the hell happened? What was that?" The large man asked them, still woozy from his fall.

"She must've redirected Vanya's energy wave." Amura answered, looking outside then at them.

"Yeah, I know, but how?" He asked once again.

And then suddenly, the bricks of once a chimney crumbled, "Luther, Amura, watch out!" Five shouted, pushing the two out of the way while the bricks rain on him.

"Five!" Amura shouted, immediately approaching the pile of bricks to help him out of it.

"Five!" Luther shouted as well, panting as he helped the girl.

That's when Lila warped inside the house, only to see Luther and Amura there.

The two immediately stood up in alert, the girl used her power to see Five's future and she was thankful to see him alive from that rain of bricks.

"What are you?" Luther asked the woman in front of them.

"Someone who wants to kill you..." she pointed at Amura, "and your brother." She pointed at Luther.

"Well, that's understandable. Diego can be a lot to handle." The large man answered, clueless while lending a hand out to protect the girl behind him.

Amura kept quiet while Lila approached them.

"Yeah, I was talking about Five." The woman answered.

"Him, too. But, unfortunately, they're family and so is Amura here, so you're shit out of luck." Luther said and threw a punch at Lila.

Who caught it in one hand, Amura stared at them with wide eyes.

'Wasn't his powers supposed to be super strength?' She thought to herself, thinking if the man have gotten weak or the woman got strong.

The girl can hear the leather gloves creaking and Luther grunting, obviously struggling at Lila's hold.

"How is this possible?" The large man asked with a strained grunt.

"Gotta believe in yourself, big boy." Lila just said and threw the man out of the house creating a big hole on the wall.

Amura stared at her shocked, but she immediately composed herself when the woman turned her attention to her.

"Now tell me, do you want to die with your little boyfriend? Or do you want to go first?" Lila asked as she approached the girl.

"Neither of us will die today, but you and the Handler." Amura snarled at her before attacking the woman.

Throwing a punch at her, and using her power to see what her next move was.

The girl saw Lila backed away, and so she turned for a side kick which the woman caught with a smirk.

Amura stared at her with wide eyes.

'The probability of her catching that was 1%...' She thought to herself but then she took notice of Lila's emerald eyes.
