Meredith: 23Meredith huffed as she plopped down on her bed. Everyone was taking a day off and doing their own thing. Dean was, well, she didn't exactly know where he was, but she figured he was drunk somewhere. Sam, probably at the library no doubt. She drummed her fingers on her stomach and sighed in boredom. She looked around her room. She could clean it, it had been a while. She sighed again. No, she didn't want to do that.
"Hello?" She smiled at Castiel's robotic voice that came from the halls.
"In here, Cas!" She yelled and propped herself up on her elbows as he entered. "What's up?" She asked.
"Hello, Meredith." He said deeply. "Where is everyone?" He asked, standing in the doorway.
She rolled her eyes. "Free day."
He squinted his eyes at her. "You don't seem very happy."
"Well, I thought it would be fun." She sat up and threw her arms in the air. "But I can't think of anything to do!"
Her angel friend stood their awkwardly. "Well, I could do something with you." He paused. "If you'd like."
She smiled and perked up. "Really?"
He nodded automatically. "Yes, but if you don't mind, I'd rather it not involve women." He said nervously. "Dean makes a habit of trying to get me "laid". " He raised his hands and did air quotes causing Meredith to laugh.
"Okay, Cas, you got it." She nodded while laughing.
~~~
"Meredith, you promised no women." Castiel argued from the passenger seat. They were sitting in a crowded parking lot outside of the city mall.
She rolled her eyes and looked at him. "Castiel, she's putting grocery's in her car."
"She's very close." He argued.
Meredith widened her eyes and chuckled. "Shes across the lot, Cas."
She shook her head and got out of the car. "Come on, you promised me a day of fun. I want to play laser tag." She said happily.
Castiel swallowed nervously and got out of the vehicle. "Meredith, what is a laser tag?"
~~~
Meredith and Castiel walked side by side in the crowded mall. They had been there for over two hours and Meredith was devouring her ice cream the she guarded with her hands.
"Want some?" She offered him with a mouthful.
"No, thank you." He never spared her ice cream a glance. "You know I don't eat."
She huffed and nodded. "Yeah, I keep forgetting that."
"You know, Cas," She began. "We've been doing everything that I want to do. Laser tag, arcade games, scaring kids." She chuckled. "What do you want to do?" She took another bite of her ice cream.
He thought for a moment. "Anything you choose is fine."
She dramatically sighed and Castiel looked at her oddly. "Oh, come on, Cas. Don't be boring. Surely, there is something you'd like to do." She argued.
Right as he was about to respond Meredith stopped and smiled. "What is it?" He quirked his head at her.
She looked up at him and threw her ice cream away in the trash beside them. "I have an idea." She grinned and grabbed his hand, dragging him to her destination.
~~~
"Meredith, I don't like it." Castiel said stiffly. He was standing in front of a long mirror in American Eagle wearing a black suit.
Meredith was sat behind him on a sofa as she observed him. "Come on, Castiel. You've been wearing that same trench coat for five years! Don't you want some new clothes." She exasperated.
He shook his head. "No. May, I take it off now?" He pleaded.
"Huh uh. Not yet." She looked through the clothing racks.
He turned around and stared at her. "There are women in here."
She rolled her eyes for what seemed like the millionth time, walked towards him, and turned him around to face the mirror. "Enough with that, Castiel. Look at yourself! You're a regular James Bond!" She smiled proudly and he quirked his eyebrow again at her.
"Who is James Bond? A fellow hunter?" He asked with interest.
She went to answer and yet again, rolled her eyes, ignoring his question.
"Okay then, what do you want to wear then?" She gestured to the clothes that surrounded them.
He observed every article of clothing in the room and repeated the action several times. Right as Meredith was about to snap he spoke.
"I like the pink one." He smiled.
She looked confused. "The pink one?"
He pointed to the wall behind her and she turned to look at the pink dress suit in the clearance section.
She laughed and turned back to him. "Okay, Castiel. The pink one it is then."
