Dean-29
Sam-29
Meredith-18

Warning: drug addiction

She was stressed so it was okay. It was understandable, right? She'd had an eventful day and needed a release. She'd be fine after this. She just needed something to help calm her anxiety. Then she'd be done.

Meredith was in the small bathroom that connected to her room, bent over the sink, chasing her relief. She sniffed up her lines and fell back against the tub behind her.

Finally.

She needed to gather her barring's before she went back downstairs. She didn't want to be away from Dean for too long. Her head rolled back into the cold wall of the tub and took deep breaths. Feeling her anxiety slowly eat itself away from her young body.

The days events that had brought her here had been eventful. The car ride back to Souix Falls was high in tension. Since Bobby was along Meredith had to sit beside Sam in the back. She was so close to just creating her lines right there in the back seat. He had tried to talk to her several times. Mostly starting the sentence with "Mer, can we please talk?" "Meredith, I'm sorry."

Shut the hell up.

She was already having trouble keeping it together and his whiny voice was just making it all worse.

After a while Sam gave up. She didn't plan on talking him. She didn't have the energy to. She willed her mind to listen to the conversation the three men had on the possibility's of Dean's resurrection. Another thing to worry about.

How long would the sun be out?

Dean would glance at her in the review mirror and stare at her worriedly. She would give him a small smile assuring him that she was okay. She sure as hell didn't look it.

As much as Dean wanted to beat Sam's ass for abandoning Meredith, he would have to wait. That was a conversation that needed to be private.

When they arrived back at Bobby's they retreated into the living room in hopes of understanding what had brought Dean back. Meredith sat beside Dean and pretended to read.

It was too quite.

And too loud.

The silence was deafening.

Her blood roared loudly in her ears and her hands trembled.

She took a shaker breath and cleared her throat. "I'm g-gonna use the b-bathroom" she said quickly.

She disappeared up the stairs and Dean stared worriedly. "Bobby.....she does not look good."

Bobby took a swig of his whiskey. "It's been a tough couple of months."

Dean rubbed a tired hand over his face. "What exactly have I missed?"

"Nothing." Bobby replied.

"What?" Dean asked confused.

"You've not missed anything. She's not done anything. She's done nothing but lay in her bed for weeks. She doesn't eat. She doesn't talk about anything. She doesn't do anything, Dean." Bobby said quietly.

Dean closed his eyes in anger and looked at Sam who had remained quite the entire conversation. "Have anything to add, Sam?"

Sam looked incredibly guilty. It practically leaked from his pores. "Dean, I d- I'm sorry. I know what I did was wrong. I just couldn't deal with it. I needed to be alone."

"Bullshit. That's a bullshit answer, Sam. Needed to be alone?" Dean raised his voice and Bobby shushed him when he heard the bathroom door open.

"We can talk about this later, boys." Bobby said tentatively.

Meredith splashed her face with cold water and took a deep breath. She felt better. A lot better. She looked into the mirror and put on a fake smile, exciting the room. She could hear hushed voices and felt eyes in her when she entered the living room.

Dean looked at her and gave her a confused look. When she went upstairs she looked like a mess. She seemed fine now. She even had a small smile on. "You okay?" He asked her.

She nodded and took her seat beside him. "Yeah, I'm okay."

She wrapped an arm around his and leaned on his shoulder.

Dean looked at Bobby and Sam then back to her.

He didn't think he believed her.
