Warning: drug addiction

That night had been difficult for Meredith. Not just for her. Everyone. Tensions were raising high in Singer house. The four hunters had remained quite while researching with Meredith stile attached to Dean's side. It all had been going well until her high had ended and she locked eyes with Sam. He tried to send her a small smile when she anxiously left and headed into the kitchen, getting a glass of water.

Good God she couldn't handle this sober.

She leaned against the sink chugging her water. Willing herself to not give in to her craving and took a deal breathe.

How dare he just... smile.

Smile like he hadn't abandoned her. Smile like he hadn't drove her to her breaking point. Smile like he made her into a drug a-

She slammed her glass down and squinted her eyes shut.

No. She wasn't an addict.

She was just a teenage girl who had been going through a difficult time. Kids did this all the time and she was no different. She wasn't an addict. She was just under stress and found a relief.

But her stresses had been solved.

Sam and Dean were back. The losses that caused her to destroy herself were back now. Sure, the circumstances weren't perfect and she wanted to kick Sam's ass into oblivion, but they were family and she could do this. She wouldn't submit to the drug. She wasn't an addict and she would stop.

She opened her eyes, swallowed back the nausea bubbling in her throat, and walked back into the living room; sitting herself by Dean.

He sat up and smiled at her. "You okay, Mer?"

She nodded and smiled slightly. "Y-yeah. I'm okay. Just tired."

Hold it together.

"Why don't you head off to bed? We have everything covered here." Bobby said kindly.

"No, really, I'm okay. I want to help." She said quickly.

She could feel all eyes on her and she swallowed nervously. Reaching nervously over for the book she later on the coffee table, she knocked Dean's beer into the floor.

"God dammit" she snapped and got on the floor attempting to clean her mess.

"Woah, woah, Mer, it's okay." Dean said as he crouched down beside her. He put a hand on her shoulder and pushed her on the couch. "I got it. Just sit down."

She sat down and avoided everyone's worried glare. "Hey, Meredith you're bleeding."

She looked up to see Sam approaching her worriedly and glanced to see her hand covered in blood.

I must of cut myself on the glass.

He sat beside her and took her hand. "Here, let me he-"

"No!" She yelled yanking her hand away from his. She stood up and heard glass crunch underneath her shoes. "The last thing I need is your help!" She screamed at him.

"Meredith, please I-"

"Fuck you!" She yelled cradling her hand. She turned quickly and went up the stairs ignoring Dean's protests behind her.

~~~
She slammed her bedroom door and headed into the bathroom. She grabbed the first aid kit underneath the sink and froze.
