For the remainder of the school day, Brendon completely ignored me. Out of fear I assumed.Gerard and I sat side by side in art class like any other day. Brendon walked in, he didn't even look at us.
"Wow, you really freaked him out," Gerard chuckled, then kissed my cheek, "It's very cool." I giggled at his little smile.
"Yeah, it's kinda nice not having a desperate loser virgin following us around everywhere." He chuckled.
"Totally..." Gerard just kept his gaze on me. He hadn't quit eyeing me ever since I socked Brendon in the nose. I smiled at him as the bell rang and the teacher began talking. Punk boy looked away for only a second before he was distracted by me again.
"What're you lookin' at, babe?" I asked, drawing in my sketchbook without even looking at him.
"You..."
"Punk boy, you've been staring at me through every class since lunch."
"I can't help it, angel face! You're just so beautiful!" I eyed him, curiously.
"No like, way more. You okay?" He hummed a yes, "Gerard, seriously, quit makin' googly eyes at me."
"Mkay..." He set his head on the table in his arms. Almost immediately, his head moved to the side so he could see me. The boy just couldn't help himself.
"Punk boy..."
"I'm not doing anything." I could practically hear the smile on his face.
"Why're you staring at me so much, my love?" I asked, copying his posture so I gazed back at him. He just shrugged, thinking for a moment.
"Maybe cause that stunt you pulled at lunch was kinda hot." I rolled my eyes.
"Hot?" He nodded, "I'm not hot." Gerard pressed his lips to my forehead.
"I think ya are." I giggled, caressing his cheek.
"Of course you do, my sweet punk boy."
"Y'know, you do this thing..."
"What thing?"
"Like, usually you're super chill n' shit. But when someone really pisses you off, you just go nuts. It's like you got this fire or something. I love it," I giggled as he continued, "Remember at the snowball? When you smacked Frank in the face?"
"Uhuh..."
"You did it then, too. But as soon as someone looks over at you, you just, curl up into a little ball," He chuckled, "It's strange and cute at the same time."
"So I'm, strange and cute at the same time?" I asked with a curious smile. He nodded.
"Yes, and I like it." As soon as he spoke, the bell rang and class was dismissed. Gerard and I left the classroom, hand in hand, with no trouble at all.
"Cool..." I said as we walked.
"Hey angel face?" Gerard asked, walking outside.
"Yeah punk boy?"
"Are you doing anything this weekend?"
"Well, Patrick's throwing a party, but I dunno if I wanna go. Why?"
"Cause I'm planning something!" He explained.
"Planning what?"
"It's a surprise." He smirked. Damn him...
"Ugh, of course it is."
"Babe, it's gonna be a wonderful surprise."
"Is there anything you can tell me?"
