Your pov

Gerard had an arm around me as we walked to school in the cold winter morning. He felt so warm against the snowy cold.

"...and Frank stayed a little longer. He was saying that him and Hayley aren't doing too good."

"They aren't?" I asked, he nodded, "I though Frank was really into her."

"Apparently not. He was saying it's super awkward between them. They haven't kissed, and nothing is happening."

"Damn, Hayley seems happy." He shrugged.

"That's just what Frank said. She might be fine with it." I hummed as we entered the school. We stood around with our friends who were already talking about something.

Just like any other day, classes went by fast. Soon I found myself standing with Ryan in math class as he collected his things at his desk.

"...yeah, it's gonna be sick," He said, telling me about the party coming up on Friday, "Will I be seeing you there?" Ryan asked, hopefully.

"Nah, Gerard's planning something that night." I said, walking out of the room with him.

"Oh, like a date?" I shrugged.

"It's a surprise, apparently." He hummed as we stood at his locker.

"Maybe come afterwards?"

"I dunno, I kinda wanna spend as much time as I can with Gerard." He furrowed his brows.

"Whatta ya mean by that?" Oh shit... I haven't told him...

"Shit, I never told you..."

"Told me what?"

"I'm gonna be moving away." He shut his locker and stared at me in disbelief. His mouth opened, trying to form words, but he could not grasp them out of shock.

"Yeah, I'm heading to California next month."

"But, you can't go! I don't want you to go..." We began walking towards the lunchroom.

"I don't wanna go, but if we don't move, my parents will lose their jobs."

"Wow... when will you be leaving?"

"February thirteenth."

"Damn, I'm gonna miss ya."

"I'm gonna miss ya too," We now stood in the middle of the cafeteria, where we normally split up, "I'll talk to you later..."

"Yeah, see ya..." And we parted ways.

Ryan's pov

I couldn't keep my eyes off of her as we parted ways. She didn't notice my stare as she sat beside her boyfriend. The news she has just dropped, hurt my heart. Even the sharpest dagger to the chest couldn't compare to the pain I felt. Okay maybe I'm being dramatic... but I just... she can't go...

"Ryan... Ryan!" I felt a smack to the back of my head, which brought me back to the lunch table I sat at with my friends.

"Ow! What the hell?" I rubbed the back of my head, glaring at Pete.

"Dude, you okay? You hardcore spaced out." Patrick asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"I dunno, you were staring at Y/n again." Jon said.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I'm just a little tired." I explained, luckily, they bought it and spoke amongst themselves.

I wish she could stay... she makes me happy... even as just a friend... I'd rather have her as a friend than nothing at all... oh... I'm gonna miss her...
