Hayley and I drove to the mall, talking about school and whatnot. Eventually, we made it and walked inside.

"Where the fuck do they sell cool leather jackets around here?" I asked. She shrugged.

"Just gotta wander around."

"Dude, this place is huge. If I wander around, I'll just get lost."

"I've done that." She said, then we began wandering around each store. Nothing really caught our eyes, that is, until we saw it.

"Holy shit..." A leather jacket sat on display that held the same exact kick ass look I had been searching for, "That's the one..." It was all black with short zippers on the sleeves, a collar that could be popped in or out, and pockets on the inside and outside.

"You think so?" I nodded.

"Exactly what I'm looking for." I entered the store, looking around for this perfect leather jacket, but there wasn't a single one.

"I can't find one!" I said as I crossed paths with Hayley.

"Me neither!"

"They can't be out! They just can't be!" I walked to the counter where a girl stood, "Hi, do you have any leather jackets like the one in front?"

"Uhm, lemme see..." She walked over to a shelf, but couldn't find any, "I'll check the back..." She walked off for a moment.

"I'm gonna be pissed if they're out." I said.

"Same..." She walked back over empty handed.

"We don't got any, sorry."

"H-" I began, but was interrupted by Hayley.

"What about the one on display? Could we buy that one?" The girl leaned forward on the counter, resting her head in hand.

"Uhm..." Then, she smirked, "If you can get it off the mannequin."

"Deal!" Hayley cried, then walked over to the display window where it stood. I leaned against the wall, watching her.

"Are you sure about this?"

"Hell yeah! I worked in retail for a whole summer, this mannequin's got nothin' on me!" She then slipped the jacket off the plastic mannequin like it was nothing at all.

"Woah..." I spoke. She smirked.

"I know, I know, I'm the best..." She stepped away from the display and strutted towards the counter. The girl sighed and scanned the clothing.

"That'll be a hundred dollars."

"A hundred!?" I asked, completely shocked.

"Yeah..."

"Oh wow, uhm..." I pulled out my little wallet, going through ever nook and cranny as I fished for money. She counted it up.

"You still need fifteen bucks." I sighed, desperately turning to Hayley.

"I'll pay you back?" I nervously smiled. She sighed, setting down a twenty, "Thank you..."

"You owe me fifteen bucks." She said as the girl put the jacket in a bag and handed it to me along with five bucks for Hayley.

"Oh I know..." We walked out of the store, now searching for a gift for Hayley's mom.

"What does your mom like?"

"T-..." She stopped.

"What?"

"That's perfect!" She ran off.
