John had called a sitter for Sean and once again, Julian dragged him out of the house. He hated being dragged by his 17 year old son.

"Can I go home now?" John asked.

"No. We haven't even been out here for an hour. Ye'll be fine. Don't worry."

"Yeh, yeh. Okay. Another 10 minutes."

"No. Longer. Dad, learn to get out of the house now."

"But I feel safe inside my own home surrounded by family."

"Sooner or later, ye'll feel safe out here too."

"Not any time soon."

"No, but starting now could make you get over the fear sooner."

"Look, I appreciate what yer trying to do. I really do. But its not something I'm ready to do."

"Yes you are. Its been almost a month since it happened."

"Yeh. Almost a month since someone tried to kill me."

"Not how you should see it."

"But it is how I see it."

"No. I won't have that."

"Yer starting to sound like Paul."

"Because he's right."

"And he's also not here. He went back to his home in Scotland."

"And with one phone call, he'll be here."

"Don't you dare."

"Why? Scared?"

"Why would I be scared of Paul? He's younger than me for crying out loud."

"That has nothing to do with it. He'll put you in yer place."

"He doesn't put me in my place."

"Yes he does. He did last time he saw you."

"So? You don't know him like I do."

"I don't have to know him the way you do. But, from what I've seen, he's put you in yer place a lot."

"No he hasn't!" John realized he raised his voice, then he lowered it again. "Sorry. I didn't mean to raise my voice. Let's just drop the subject."

"Yeh. Lets.......................Ye know, yer kinda hard to talk to sometimes."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"It wasn't supposed to be a compliment, but okay."

"Wait, were you trying to insult me?"

"Maybe."

"Yer a Lennon for sure. No DNA test needed."

"Of course I'm a Lennon. Who else would have these good looks?" Julian said smiling.
