(I think John broke his glasses)

It had finally hit 11:30. Paul had driven over to John's aunt's house, where he was staying for the time being.

John had been standing outside, smoking a cigarette, waiting for them to arrive to pick him up. Once he saw them pull up, he threw the stub of the cigarette on the concrete and stepped on it as he made his way over to the car.

"Ey." He said, getting the back seat.

"Ey. You look tired." Paul said.

"That's because I am. Couldn't sleep last night."

"Were you excited for today or something?"

"Well, yes and no. I just kept asking meself if Julian would want to see his old man."

"You don't even have to ask that to know that answer John. Of course he would want to see you."

"Well, I hope yer right about that."

"Course I'm right. Now, ready to go?"

"Yeh."

During the car ride, John had fallen asleep because he had a bad night that night. He and his wife had gotten into another argument, this time, it was about John seeing his eldest son.

They were now about five minutes away and George, who was in the back with John, had woke him to let him know.

Once awake, John glanced out the window and even with his poor eyesight, he could tell which house was his ex-wife's because Julian was standing outside talking with several of his friends from school.

The car stopped and Paul turned to John, who, wasn't getting out of the car.

"John, I thought ye'd be happy to see him."

"I am. Bu--"

"Then go. Do you want one of us to hold yer hand while you go up there?" Paul joked.

"Sod off McCartney."

"Are you really that scared he'll turn you away?"

"Well, maybe."

"Look, either you get out, or I'll have George kick you out."

"Alright. I'm gone. But, stay here."

"Who said we were going to leave?"

John shrugged as he opened the door and got out of the car. Julian's back was turned so he didn't see John approaching.

One of his friends had said something to him and he turned around.

"Dad?" He questioned.

"Ey kiddo."

"What are you doing here?"

"What, I can't see my kid?"

"Not what I mean. I'm just surprised to see you."

"Don't be. I wanted to see you."

"You came over three thousand miles because you 'wanted to see' me?"

"That, and to tell you that I'll be moving back to London so we could spend time with each other more often than we did."

"Wow. Never thought ye'd do that." Julian said smiling.

"What would yer mum say if I kidnapped you for the day?"

Julian laughed. "I don't know. She'll probably let you."

"Why? Are you  a handful?"

"She says I am. But I could ask her if ye want."

"Yeh. Great. Okay."

Julian went inside his house. John looked over at Julian's friend, who, had looked back at him.

"What?" John asked.

"Nothing. Its just that, he was worried about you when he heard what happened. He was upset."

"Nothing was my fault son."

Before the conversation carried on, Julian walked back out.

"She said its fine that you kidnap me."

"Alright. Come on. See ye later, Julian's friend." John said as the two walked back to the car.

John opened his car door and let Julian get inside, before getting in himself.

"Ey guys." Julian said.

"Ey Jules. You behaving?" Paul asked.

"Never."

"Didn't think so."
