"Daddy, I don't want you to go." Sean mentioned.

John took Sean and placed him next to him.

"I don't either. I don't know what's going to happen tonight and I don't want to leave you. But...............if I do............can you promise me something?"

Sean nodded.

"Promise that ye'll never forget that I love you. If I'm no longer here anymore, I would need for you to take care of yer muther."

"Okay."

"And yer brother would take care of you. He loves you just as much. If I die any time soon, just know, I'll always be with you."

"But I don't want you to leave. Where will you go?"

"I'm talking about death, son. If I died tonight, you have responsibilities I'm giving you. Can you handle it?"

Sean nodded.

"Okay. Good."

John went up to his safe and pulled something out before going back to the two kids.

"What's that?" Julian asked.

"My will."

"Yer not reading it now, are ye?"

"No. I'm making revisions to it."

He started rewriting it on another sheet of paper.

"Jules, Sean needs to be taken care of. He shouldn't have you only visiting him. If something happens and me and Yoko end up splitting before I pass or whatever, take him to yer mum's house."

"But dad................wouldn't he be much better off with his own mum?"

"He would but if we split up for any reason, I would want to take custody of him. And One revision I'm making in my will is for you to take care of him."

"One revision? How many are you making?"

"Several. I left you out of my previous will. Not anymore. Yer going to be in my will."

"But what if Yoko doesn't like the idea? I don't want to impose."

"Its not imposing. You can fight for it in court. I know its something you probably don't want to do but you might have to."

"Dad, why are you talking like this and changing yer will?"

"Because I could be gone tomorrow. That's why. You never know."

"Yer not going anywhere."

"I want to believe that."

"Believe it. Yer not the only one scared of losing yerself. I'm scared of losing you too and hearing you talk about yer death is only making it worse."

"I'm preparing you for when..................." He paused.

"I know. You don't need to prepare us because nothing is going to happen."

"Its just in case kid. Just in case I die, there's some stuff I don't want you to forget."

"We won't forget."

"You better not."

"Look................kid...................we can't help what happens. I'm preparing you for the unexpected."

"As I said, we don't need to be prepared."

"Sean does. He's a little boy."

"I know. I do know the world won't be the same without you in it."

"Thanks. That means a lot."

"It was meant to be. Now, can we stop talking about this?"

"Yeh but I'll still be rewriting my will."

"That's fine but I don't want to continue talking about yer death."

"Sean was just asking questions and I answered them."

That day, John and Julian had been playing the guitar together. John had called Paul a few hours earlier to discuss new songs. After the phone call though, John found himself outside, thinking to himself.

He didn't expect someone to walk up......................................

Uh-oh!! Who walked up? Was John followed to Wales? Was he safe??
