(This happened to me multiple times)
John and Yoko had been talking it out peacefully. No arguing or yelling. John had finally got the sleep he wanted without worrying about fighting with her.
He was glad the show was finally over so he didn't have to worry about it. He was exhausted from that day.
The next day, Julian had been the first one up and fed Sean once he got up.
"So, where do you want to go today Sean?" Julian asked.
"I don't know."
"Come on. You have to know."
Sean just shrugged. "I don't know where anything is."
"Yer only 5. You shouldn't know where anything is."
"Oh. How long will you be here?"
"Three weeks. How do you like that?"
Sean smiled. "I love it. I heard mom yelling at dad two days ago about you."
"You did? Well, you shouldn't listen in on conversations."
"I couldn't help it. They were yelling. Are you not going to come here anymore?"
"What makes you think that? Of course I'll come."
"Mommy said that she doesn't want you to come over."
"Dad does. What he thinks, matters. I'll always be there for you kid."
"Promise?"
Julian smiled and gave him a fist bump. "Promise. If you need me, call me. Dad has my number."
"Okay."
"Okay. Now, want to go for a walk while dad is asleep?"
Sean nodded.
"Okay. Go get dressed. I'll meet you out here."
Sean left. Julian grabbed some paper and started writing on it.
I took little Sean for a walk. Don't worry about him. He's fine.
Love,
Julian
Julian got dressed himself and went back to the kitchen, where Sean just appeared to.
"Okay. You ready?"
"Its cold outside." Sean said.
Julian grabbed two coats and helped Sean into his before putting one on himself.
"If you get too cold, I'll take you back here. Deal?"
"Deal."
The two walked out the door.
"Why does mom hate you?"
"I don't know. She always has. I don't let it bother me too much. If I let it bother me, then it gets me sad. There's a lot of people that don't like me for a lot of different reasons. I don't care if people hate me. That's life. People will hate you. Even if you have a step mother. That's life."
"Oh. I don't want everyone to hate me."
"No one hates you. Well, not that I know of. But, when you get older, expect a lot of hate. Ye know, I grew up thinking dad didn't care about me or my mum. But, throughout these years of seeing him in New York, it changed my thinking. I used to think that I wasn't good enough for him. I was the same age you are when he left. But we started reconnecting again. He put effort in to it."
"Why did he leave you?"
"Oh, he met yer mum and fell in love with her. I don't hold grudges against him...........at least, I try not to. When you were born, I think he grew up mentally. When I was born, he was too young. He wasn't ready to have kids. I was an accident, you could say but he loves me and I love him."
"Oh. What did he look like when he was young?"
The two stopped walking and Julian handed him a picture.
"Like me. Just..................a little different."
"Are you sure that's not you?"
Julian laughed. "Positive. You see the difference?"
He put the picture up to his face so Sean could examine the two.
"Oh. Yeah."
"Yeh. Ye'll see a lot more photos of dad when he was in the Beatles."
"Why can't I be as old as you?"
"Well, because you weren't born until 1975."
"When were you born?"
"1963. I was born right before he got famous. Fame got in the way. He's still famous now but he doesn't have all that attention he had then. He makes time for you and me now."
"I want you to continue coming over here. I miss you."
"I miss you too and I will continue to see you until something happens."
"Like what?"
"I don't know. Something that prevents me from seeing my favorite brother."
Sean laughed. "I'm your only brother!"
"Oh yeh. So you are. And nothing can stop the bond between two brothers. Right?"
"Right!"
