Chapter 11

Brute's POV

"Kelsey? What are you doing, we gotta go kick some troll butt!"
     "You're all so naive..." Glitter Sunny said, fists clenched and bangs over her eyes.
     "What?" Glitter Lucky stopped and so did the others.
     "Yeah! What do you think you're doing, we're supposed to fight in an epic fight!" I say, showing them the Buffoon nose.
"Sure, go ahead... but I'm not gunna," Sunny said.
     The girls gasp in shock, "What do you mean?"
     I laugh, "Giving up, are ya? Good choice! I would have ended you anyways!"
     "No... I want to join you..." Sunny says, voice firm.
     I stopped smiling, and the rest of the Glitter Force start trembling.
     "Kelsey no..." Glitter Lucky's voice was shaky.
"Kelsey yes..." Glitter Sunny looked up at me, "Let me join you and the rest of the Shadow Realm, Brute."
     I stood there hovering in the air, speechless.
I quickly shake my head, "Haha! Sure! We've been meaning to recruit you Glitter Gals, anyways!"
     I float down to the group, making my way over to Sunny, "Guess we'll hafta save the fight for another day, Glitter Force. I've got some business to attend to!"
Before the girls could react, I put a hand on Glitter Sunny's shoulder and teleport the two of us to the Shadow Realm.

Glitter Force's POV

"Well, he sure isn't the brightest..." April said, eyebrow raised.
"We really lucked out, didn't we?" Lily said happily.
"Let's just hope Kelsey can do it..." Emily said, a bit worried.

Your POV

     Ulric and I were just enjoying each other's company in silence on the cliff. The quiet was disturbed when we heard Brute announce his arrival.
     "I'm back! And I brought back a catch for us!" He yelled.
     Ulric and I looked at each other before flying over to where he was.
     "What is it? You're being too loud..." Ulric said, scratching the back of his head.
     Brute turned to reveal Kelsey.
     I gasped and ran over to her, "Kels! What are you doing here?"
     "Isn't it obvious? I've decided to join," her voice was convincing, but her face said otherwise.
    She was turned to me so the others couldn't see her expression, which told me she wasn't here to be loyal.
     "Oh? That was fast... well done, Brute," Rascal said, hovering out from the darkness.
     I played along with Kelsey and waved at Rascal excitedly, "Do we have a room for her? I could show her to it!"
     "We'll wait on that.... Brute, find Brooha and start prepping another room...." he said, eyes squinting.
     Brute nodded, and stomped away.
     "Awww..." I said, disappointed.
     "I want Kelsey to come with me, I'll give her the rundown of everything," Rascal said.
     "No! I wanna stay with my bestie. C'mon, don't be so sour that ya won't let us have a proper reunion! Don't ya have things you hafta prepare on your own?" Kelsey said.
     She's good... I thought.
     Rascal hesitated before saying, "Fine. Don't expect to have too much time though..."
     He turned around and left me, Kelsey, and Ulric alone.
     Kelsey turned to me, "Can we trust the wolf?"
     "What?-"
     "I'm here so you can escape, I wanna talk plans, so I gotta know if he's on our side."
     Ulric growls, wrapping his arms around me, "I'm on no one's side, either way she's staying with me."
     "Come on dude, really?" Kelsey said.
     "Ok, guys guys, we can't afford to bicker like this. Rascal will be back soon, and if he catches us we're all dead." I say.
     I turn to Kelsey, "Look, I do want to go back, but I already told you, I'm in a hard position because of Ulric."
     I squeeze his hand, and he rests his chin on my head.
     Kelsey growls in annoyance, "yeah, but what about us? We can't just leave and forget about you and have you be serving these evil goons."
     "I know, that's why I want to figure a way that will work for both of us." I say.
     After asking Ulric's permission, I give Kelsey a brief summary of the conversation Ulric and I had earlier.
     Kelsey blinked, "Uhhh... wow... that brings... lots of complications to the table..."
     "Yeah..." I say.
     "Ok ok, the first thing we need is to get out of here. We can't talk or think of a plan with Rascal on us. Ulric, think you could do something for us?" Kelsey says.
     Ulric nods, "As long as you plan to talk and come up with something that will work for all of us."
     Kelsey nods, "Alright, then-"
     "Shh!!"
     Ulric puts a hand over her mouth.

    
     "Rascal's back..."
