39- Everything For Love, Part 1.

Inside the 05 chamber, the council members nervously stare back at 096, 682, and Abel. The female member's eyes shift between Cain and Abel, knowing their unusual history.

"Are.. you thirteen okay?" Rocky asks.

A man at the end clears his throat. "It is just.. unusual being in a room with some of you without.. dying.. instantly."

049 looks around. "Yes.. a bit ragtag, but it works for us!"

"As long as it works that is all that matters!" The old man replies with a forced air of cheerfulness.

"I find this unfound faith in an untested team disturbing." The female 05 member groans.

"I hear matching uniforms.. Do we need matching uniforms?!" The little witch girl asks happily.

"Don't you dare!" Dr. Clef, Cain, Abel, and 682 reply in a slightly offset unison.

"Jeez! Okay!" She groans.

"Point to fact, we are ready and willing to engage the Scarlet King." Rocky says confidently.

"Our best weapon has and always will be SCP-999." Another member comments.

"WAS! We have a whole team of contingency plans standing right here." Rocky slowly waves his open palm at the others. "With Simara by our side, I feel confident we can take anything they throw at us."

049 removes his mask and slightly bows, 682 and Abel stand proudly, Dr. Clef and Sasha stand hand in hand as Dr. Clef props against his rifle, and the little witch playfully shakes her wand at the council.

"It seems I am the only council member who has been paying attention during Lucifer's infiltration of our facility. I approve of this plan!" The old man says gruffly.

The other council members stay awkwardly silent.

The old man sighs while shaking his head. "Young people.."

"We will see Jennifer on our way out just to be safe." Rocky says as he turns to walk away.

"Anyone deemed terminated is scrubbed from this mission, Mr. *****!" The woman orders.

Rocky looks back. "I thought that was implied."

"As long as we are on the same page." The woman replies.

Meanwhile, Yram shoots past 953 and the NTF as a smooth shadow on the floor. 953 notices this and hurries after her, following her to Mary and the children. Yram sinks into Mary as her eyes open and she quickly sits up.

"Hey! What the hell was that?!" 953 asks excitedly.

Mary stands and points to the children. "Can you remove these collars?"

953 shrugs. "I'm sure I could, but why?"

"Because I'm going after Lucifer for lying and using me!!" Mary growls.

"Am.. I talking to you or the shadow?" 953 asks.

"It is a bit of both." Mary replies.

953 smiles, putting one hand on her hip as her tails whip behind her. "I can get behind the revenge scene!" She then walks over to the children and effortlessly rips the collars off, tossing them aside. "There ya go!"

"Angela, Fredrick, William, Edna, wake up!" Mary says sharply.

The children's eyes open and they sit up.

Fredrick is the first to stand, rubbing his eyes. "Mammy? What's wrong?"

"No time to explain. Come with me, my dears." She says, kneeling and holding out her arms.
