There wasn't a frown in sight, a bad summer story or any broken friendships; it was a perfect scene from a movie. Now back to their paradise, their home, the new 7th year students sat at the end of the Gryffindor table, each year they'd shuffle up a spot and remembered how close to the other end of the long tables they were, next to Dumbledore in their first year. A fond memory to every student who had ever been a part of the school.

Like every year, the girls sat in one group and the boys sat in another, however as the chatty teenagers entered the great hall before the feast started, they merged as one, mixed seats and became closely packed.

As always, the atmosphere was wonderful, more so when Dumbledore announced Lily and James as Head boy and girl to the school; the pair blushing as they stood and waved to all the students... the irony was that they sat next to each other looking rather cosy which was a surprise to a lot of their peers.

Watching her friends around her chatting ideally and with too many contexts for her to catch, June drank in every drop of her last first day of school meal. It dawned on her that it was the year to experience the last of each thing, moments to cherish and not a second to waste in each memory. She thought back to the letters that Sirius and herself exchanged last year, the level of detail they expressed when they told each other about their dreams, fears, experiences and school. Turning her head slightly to glance at the boy, she caught his dimples yet sharp smile, chuckling with Alice and Marlene.

She was blessed that Sirius was hers, something she could imagine but didn't expect too. The feelings overwhelmed the deepest depths of her with sudden force. What if there was so much more to know that she had yet to see? Would she be granted those experiences? Would life be kind enough to grant this wish, was is it possible what with the uprise of You Know Who...

His hand wrapped around her wrist, a little shudder catching her off guard as she came back around from her thoughts.

"Juni?" His soft eyes caught onto her hazed gaze, brows dropped slightly but not enough to make him look worried. She nodded quickly, blinking a little slower as she matched his charming smirk. Flashing up to a grin, he kissed her temple and continued to eat.

Following on, she let the many channels of thoughts wind and move in her head, eating happily and with a somber contentedness. She was going to make the last year one to remember: a year with no regrets or apologies - a year to remember every single detail.

The common room stood empty, the lights dimmed down as the fire did it's main duty. June had snuck down from unpacking with her notebook and quill, ready to write her final letter to the universe. A lump was formed in her throat, almost a hot teary feelings bubbled to the surface. Ignoring the couch, she sat directly in front of fire place, embracing the slight sting on her knees as the heat cascaded from the embers, a punch in the face.

Taking a breath, she closed her eyes and was ready.

To the great Merlin, galaxies and whatever is beyond,

I'm blessed with another new start and to break my fragile heart, it is my last here at school. I must have done something to please you as you did wonders last year.

Life went at 100 miles an hour and although it was overwhelming at one point, you opened my soul and showed me what living truly feels like.

A man will never define my life, nor will a relationship as my own heart is my greatest love but I have never felt such a strong feeling as love itself. I've discovered my body, my mind, my heart and Sirius helped me find those. Sirius helped me find me. From this letter, our story was made.

Thank you for finally sorting James and Lily out - it's a huge relief off of my back (they're not dating yet but they'll probably be by the end of the week! Ha!)

You got me on the quidditch team too! You da best!

.... Can you make me taller? P L E A S E! I've asked every year and still waiting!?!!

As for what I need or want this year. Nothing.
I just want to make every second count and enjoy it all, with not a single regret

Thank you
Signed to the stars!

She clung onto the letter tight, reading it over and over again. The final part was to burn it... that's how the universe would know but as her heart thumped louder and louder, she leaned away from the fire, shrinking inwards and scared to burn this one, another milestone of last moments.

"I could always find it, put it in my bag for safe keeping and write you love letters again?" His gruff and tired voice rose from the couch, announcing himself. He laid across the red plush and well worn sofa, head rested on a pillow and arms crossed over.

He smiled, thinking back to moments ago where he fell asleep and woken by the sound of bare feet padding across the floor, a familiar scent wafting passed him. He glanced up and grinned at the angel in front of him, unaware of his silent presence. He shuffled to turned to his side, arms crossed and tiredly watching her write. A little part of him wanted to announce himself to ask what she was writing this time before she burnt it - a habit of reading the inner monologue of his lover.
He watched, intrigued as to her hesitation towards the fire, a gentle but obvious twitching in her hand. She was nervous.

"Is it foolish that I don't want to burn it this time?" June whispered, crawling over towards him and sat by his head, pushing a little strand out of his face. Releasing a hand from his crossed state, his palm reached her cheek, brushing a stray tear away.

"No baby... nothing is too foolish. Did you want to keep it?" She always loved the sound of his voice in a whisper; so warm yet gave her a chill. She shrugged and lifted it to him.

"Why do I feel like you should see it. You did last time... it feels normal even though no-one knows I've ever done it." She gently nibbled at her bottom lip, her gaze washing over again as the foreground blurred a little. Propping up to his elbow and pushed his hair back, Sirius unfolded the parchment and looked upon her hearts content, happy towards her trust in him. His heart was full and from what he could see, she was in euphoria.

He folded the letter carefully in her hand before grabbing her chin and lifted it up a bit, stealing her attentions back.

"I love you Miss Potter." His words were like a final knockout in a boss battle - a triumphant feeling every time. She was never tired of hearing it. Make every second count. Standing slowly, she walked to the fire and let out a breath, dropping the parchment and watched it melt away. Without a seconds hesitation, she walked back to him, climbed in his lap and met his speckled grey eyes.

"And I'm very much in love with you.."
