He loved his friends so dearly, each one a role model to him as they grew up. Although Remus was the one he spent most time with, James was the one he would always look up too the most, the coolest bloke he knew.

Naturally, as they were practically the same, Peter was in love with June ever since he set eyes on her. He remembered their first interaction; James had lost his glasses in the common room during their first week of the first school year. June had agreed to help find them in passing to the library. She had found them by Peter's robe beside the fire place, hung up to dry from where he fell in a puddle early that afternoon. He was a stuttering mess and had been each time he tried to make conversation with her.

As each year grew, his crush and infatuation for June had also; she was always aware of others and their feelings, she was kind hearted and very spirited. Her relationship with James was sometime Peter enjoyed watching but as they went into their older school years, she began to drift from the group and towards her female friends. Peter felt an ache as she would steer away, avoiding the group as much as possible. He questioned if it was something he did to make this happen..

He was happy to see she had begun socialising within the males group again as their 6th year started but was disheartened and felt an unusual twang learning that Sirius had joined the Potter's in their home, living under the same roof as June. Peter loved Sirius the same as James and Remus but he always had this need to be seen when Sirius was around, he felt small and knew that Sirius was the most important to James, not him...

Being small and sometimes unheard has advantages; there were many situations where Peter was unseen but he had seen all. He witnessed Sirius writing the letter to June for the first time, he had witnessed Remus and Lily discovering this surprise and he was around most of all when Sirius and June were alone. Each day his blood would boil as their failed attempts to keep their 'unsure feelings' a secret, questioning himself as to why June wouldn't look at him the same way as she did towards Sirius. He was just as kind, he was just as funny - granted he may not have been as handsome but he would have provided all the love she needed.

He remembered watching Sirius fly into their dorm room, grabbing the stack of letters he exchanged with June in secret, playing non the wiser as to what was going on. Peter had read them all. Each night, he would take the stack from Sirius' cupboard and hide in the bathroom, learning all he needed about June to better understand her, to hear her voice in another form as she wouldn't converse the same way as she did with Sirius to how she would with him.

Peter had almost a sickly giddy feeling at the exchange of emotions in the common room, hoping June would turn Sirius away at the discovery of his deception and lies about the letter. He watched as she took his hand and guided him away, the next morning to find them close and 'in love'. He could feel his stomach curl and heart crumble but of course he couldn't show it...

Instead, he watched closely and waited for his moments to swoop in, hoping to catch June's eye and best attention. It was no use, their relationship only grew stronger and stronger. The final nail in the coffin was the last Christmas holidays, Sirius sacrificing his winter break with the boys to fulfil June's wish of Christmas at school. His pain and suffering had started to turn toward June as well as Sirius, spite and anguish toward her for not seeing him as important in their group of friends, for not seeing the love he was trying to show her.

Being cold as person already, Peter began to twitch and sneer at the idea of socialising, trying to avoid any interaction in fear that his overstimulated infatuation with June still would grow again...

He had the perfect revenge...
