Onto the story!

The train ride was unusually quiet, it was quite unnatural.

The train came to a stop at Hogsmeade platform. Me, Harry, Ron, and Hermione all left our compartment and got off the train.

We were walking towards where the carriages were always at, when my cousin and worst enemy, Draco Malfoy walked up by our friend group.

"Surprised the ministry let you walk around free Potter. Better enjoy it while you can, I expect there's a cell in Azkaban with your name on it" Draco says.

Harry lunges forward to punch him, but me and Ron held him back.

"I tell you, complete nutter" Draco says to Crabbe and Goyle.

"Just stay away from me!" Harry says.

"It's only Malfoy" Ron says.

Ron let go of Harry, but I waited until Draco was out of sight. We all continued waking to the carriages.

There were only two carriages left when we had gotten off the train. One had four Ravenclaw girls in it, including Cho Chang, a sixth year whom I knew Harry had a crush on.

Cho was about to invite the four of us to sit in the carriage with them, but it had already started moving towards Hogwarts.

She gave Harry a quick smile before the carriage was out of sight. I could tell that Cho liked Harry just as much as I did, maybe more.

Harry had turned around and was staring at something.

"What is that?" Harry asks, staring at absolutely nothing.

"What?" I ask, turning around.

"That thing pulling the carriage" Harry says.

"Harry, there's nothing there. The carriages pull themselves like always" Hermione says.

Harry could see a creature that no one else in the group could.

Neville had walked over and was in need of a carriage as well.

There was a girl in the last carriage, reading a book upside down.

"I can see them too. You're just as sane as I am" the girl says in a very soft voice. Her voice was quite calm and soothing.

She lowered her book and looked at us all.

We all got in the carriage. I was sitting in between Ron and the very kind girl, while Hermione, Harry, and Neville were sitting across from us.

"Everybody this is Loony-" Hermione started but immediately stopped.

The kind girl didn't seem bothered by this nickname for her, which I found quite strange. This girl was definitely extraordinary and open to her differences from everyone else.

"Luna Lovegood" Hermione says.

It was quiet for a few moments, as we all had never really talked to Luna nor Neville.

"That's a nice necklace" I say to Luna, breaking the awkward silence.

"It's a charm actually, it helps keep away the nargles" Luna explains.

What are nargles?

You heard Ron ask Hermione the same question.
"I don't know" Hermione says.
