*a few weeks later*
I had been petrified for a while now. I slowly open my eyes and am blinded by the light in the hospital wing.
Definitely gotta get used to the bright light. Wait. I'm in the hospital wing?
My thoughts were interrupted by Madam Pomfrey coming out of her office.
"Oh goodness! You're awake!" Madam Pomfrey says.
"What happened?" I ask.
"You were petrified" Madam Pomfrey says.
"How long was I petrified for?" I ask.
"A few weeks" Madam Pomfrey says.
"Am I good to leave for dinner tonight?" I ask.
"Well you seem perfectly healthy now, so yes" Madam Pomfrey says.
I walk to the Gryffindor common room and to my dormitory. I saw Hermione getting ready for dinner.
"Hermione!" I say and pull her into a hug. Last time I saw her, she was petrified.
"Oh my god y/n! You're awake!" Hermione says, hugging me back.
"How long have you been awake for?" I ask.
"Just a few days. Everyone's missed you" Hermione says.
"Really?" I ask.
"Well, everyone in Gryffindor anyways" Hermione says.
"That sounds accurate" I say.
I get changed into my uniform. Me and Hermione walk to the great hall together, since everyone else was already at dinner.
"I'm gonna go in and you'll wait here until I point out that you're awake" Hermione says.
"Alright" I say. Hermione walks into the great hall and sits down by Harry and Ron.
*Harry's pov*
Me and Ron were already eating dinner when Hermione came and sat next to us.
"Guys there's a surprise" Hermione says.
"What is it?" Ron asks.
Hermione points to the doors of the great hall. In the doorway, y/n was standing and smiling at us. "She's awake!" I say.
*Y/n's pov:*
I see Hermione point to me, and Ron and Harry look at me. I smile and wave to them. They both stand up and I run over to them. I hug Harry, then Ron, and then Hermione.
We sit down and start to eat dinner. Hagrid then walks through the doors.
"Sorry the release papers showed up a bit late. Because of some ruddy bird named Errol" Hagrid says.
Hagrid walks over to me, Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
"Thank you four. I really appreciate yeh gettin' me outta you-know-where" Hagrid says.
"There's no Hogwarts without you Hagrid" Harry says, standing up and giving Hagrid a hug.
Everyone claps for Hagrid. Dumbledore announces that there will be no end-of-the-year tests.
*A couple days later*
It's the day we were all going home for the Summer. I get Rocky in her cage and take my trunk down to the platform in Hogsmeade.
I put my trunk and owl cage in the train. Me, Harry, Hermione, and Ron sat in the same compartment together, like always.
"So, what happened while I was petrified?" I ask.
Harry and Ron tell me and Hermione about what happened in the chamber of secrets.
After talking for hours, the train comes to a stop at Platform 9 3/4. We get off the train together. I get your trunk and owl cage.
"I'll see you guys next year" I say, hugging Hermione and Ron. Me and Harry cross the barrier. I walk over to my parents and hug them.
It feels good to be with my parents, but it feels strange being home.
