"You wanted to see me Professor Dumbledore?" I ask, walking into Dumbledore's office.

"Yes, have a seat" Dumbledore says.

I sit down in the empty seat. "Miss y/l/n, there is something about you that you need to know" Dumbledore says.

"What would that be?" I ask, suddenly filled with curiosity.

"You happen to be an animagus" Dumbledore says.

"An animagus? What's an animagus?" I ask, confused.

"An animagus is a person who can transform into an animal whenever they want" Dumbledore says.

"But why do I have this power? I mean, I'm muggle-born" I say.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that miss y/l/n. Muggle-borns are never born with this ability. And, just assuming that since you didn't know what an animagus was, you don't know how to become one" Dumbledore says.

"So what are you saying?" I ask.

"You already know you've been adopted, correct?" Dumbledore asks.

"Yes, I've known for a while now. What does that have to do with this?" I ask.

"Since you were adopted, you could've been the daughter of a witch and wizard. One of whom could've been an animagus and passed it onto you" Dumbledore says. I was very confused.

Who could've been my parents?

"You are able to use this power whenever you want miss y/l/n. As long as you know how to" Dumbledore says.

"Are you going to teach me?" I ask.

"Yes. I'm not an animagus but I know how animagi transform" Dumbledore says.

Dumbledore has me stand in the middle of the room. "Now, relax yourself and think about transforming into whatever animal it is that you turn into" Dumbledore says.

"But I don't know what that animal is sir" I say truthfully.

"I know of a few animagi that went to this school a bit ago. Try thinking of transforming into a stag, though I highly doubt that's the animal you'll transform to" Dumbledore says.

I think about transforming into a stag, but nothing happens. "Alright, try thinking about transforming into a rat" Dumbledore says.

I close my eyes again and concentrate, nothing happens. "Alright, try a dog. Any type of dog" Dumbledore says.

I think about every type of dog I can imagine. Then the image of that black wolf me and Harry saw the night he ran away.

Then, as I concentrated more, the black wolf turned into a white wolf. "Well done" Dumbledore says.

I open my eyes and realize that I am a lot shorter than I was before. Dumbledore gets a mirror and holds it up for me. I saw a white wolf staring back at me in the mirror.

I tried to talk, but my words came out as barks. "Simply concentrate on yourself in order to transform back" Dumbledore says.

I do as he says, and open my eyes. I was almost as tall as Dumbledore again.

"There's one more thing miss y/l/n" Dumbledore says.

"Yes?" I ask.

Dumbledore goes to his desk and grabs a small box. "Before you were sent to the muggle-world to be adopted, somebody left this box here on my desk. I don't know who it was, there's no name anywhere, but someone left this for you" Dumbledore says.
