Chapter 10

HAILEY'S P.O.V

I hate school, I told you.  And this school isn't even better than my previous one in New York.  Some girls are still rude for no reason.  Dang it, I only wear this normal dress and cardigan and they still have problem with that.  I'm tired.

"What's for lunch?"  Toby pulled my hand right after the bell ring.

"Not...really craving for anything, Tobes.  You just go, it's okay.  I'll catch up with you later." 

"Why so?  Aren't you hungry?"

"Not really.  I'm fine.  Just grab your lunch.  I'll meet you here."  I stood up and left him.

"Hails, where you going?"  Toby yelled.

"Bathroom."

"Oh right.  Stay safe."  He walked with me to the bathroom but then left me alone.  I saw he went to the cafetaria with some friends.

I opened the bathroom door.  Nobody's inside.  Phew.  Finally have a time for myself.  I walked further inside and checked on my face.  This pale skin that surely need some treatment, not so beautiful face, just the normal body.  Yeah, nothing's too interesting.

"Somebody's admiring herself in the mirror..."  Suddenly Sean showed up from the toilet.  "Hey!"

"Just stop it guys, I have zero problem with you all."  I stepped aback.  Sean now brought her super gang to threatened me.

"Where's your Prince Charming?  Oh right, he's out there catching with some friends."  She spoke closer to me.  I smell alcohol.

"Step back, Sean.  I don't want to deal with you."  I tried so hard to stay my hands away from her.

"Do you know who he, your Toby McDonough is?  HE'S MINE!!!"  She just screamed in my face.

"I didn't do anything about it!  Just take your Toby whatever but stop this!"

"You should've not come here, girl.  Should have never been that fake cute little new student in the class who catches everybody's attention!  You're pathetic!"

"What's your real problem with me?!"  I fought back.

"You suck!"

"Just mind our own business, girl!"

"You mess up with me, so I'm not going anywhere til I make sure you regret it!!!"

Then next thing I know, Sean landed a kick on my stomach.  She literally kicked me with her feet.  Her other friends held my both hands to make it easier for Sean to punch my face til my nose's bleeding.  I can see the world spinning.  I think I hit my head so hard on the ground, but somewhat made it to walk outside with nose and mouth full of blood.

"JESUS CHRIST!  HAILEY!!!"  

I bet it's Colton's voice, one of my classmates whom Toby walked to the cafetaria with.  He caught my body before I fell again on the floor at the corridor.

"Somebody, call Toby!"  Colton yelled to I don't know who. I just fell on his arms, barely breathe.

"Oh my goodness Hailey what happened..."  

Toby came toward us and immediately carried me to the nurse room.  I tried to keep my eyes open, but the bruises were just too hurt.  I ended up pass out inside his arms.
