HAILEY'S P.O.V

"So, you like the neighbors?"  Mom grabbed my hand on our walk back home.

"Yeah."  I nodded, with this fast heartbeat.

"Great.  How were the kids?  They're nice at you?"

"Very nice Mom."

"Oh I forgot to ask them.  Where is their school?  You want to go on the same school as them?"  Mom opened the front door.

"I don't think they have formal school.  As far as I know, both Connor and Riley take the online school.  And I think Toby too.  So we can't rely on where they take their class."  I raised my shoulders.

"What do you think, then?  I'm okay if you want to take online school but I still prefer formal school for at least a year."  She looked at me.

"Still on debate, Mom.  I'm not familiar with both ways.  I don't know."  I sighed.

"What if...I'll have further talk with Joan first, maybe she can help.  Your break is about to over and yeah, however, we should start something."

"Maybe..."

"Alright, let's talk about this tomorrow.  Now, good night baby."

"Night night, Mommy."

I went inside my room and started thinking so hard.  School.  First, I hate school.  Second, I hate school.  I don't know what on earth happens with some people but those popular girls are just so mean at everybody, including me.  No, correction, especially me.  Maybe because they think music isn't cool.  Maybe I buried myself too much on a novel companion, til they liked to make a trap on me, and just being so happy whenever I fell off my chair.  That's not funny.  I wish they knew.  Then now, to be in the same school as them would be impossible.  Connor and Riley have told me earlier that the band stuff holds their back, so online school is the result.  But for Toby, I'm not sure.  He didn't tell me anything about it.  But considering he joins the band too, I bet it's the same case.

So the question is, where should I go?

"Good morning."  I greeted Mom today at the very 7 am.  How early, isn't it.

"Ey you surprised me."  Mom laughed.  "Scrambled eggs?"

"Scrambled eggs."  I took the pan from the stove and served our breakfast on the table.

"Can't believe my little girl prepares me food almost everyday.  I feel bad."  Mom kissed my cheek.

"Like c'mon Mom, I'm 16.  It's supposed to be like this."  I washed the kitchen stuff that I used to make breakfast, then joined Mom in the living room.

"So, about the school..."  Mom stared at me.

"I've figured out.  Let's just ask Joan which school is better for me, then I'm just going."  I nodded.

"Are you sure, honey?"

"Positive."  I swallowed my food.  I don't want to make Mom worry anymore so yeah, let's just have that horrible life again if that's what makes her sleep at night.

"Okay.  I'll talk to her then."  Mom rubbed my shoulders.  "I'm going out baby.  And here."

Mom tossed me the car key.  "Wait, what's this for?"

"Your car."

"My car?"  I widened my eyes.  "No, it's your car."

"Your own car.  There."  Mom pulled my hand to the garage.
