I love my job. Wait. I love that I can do my job and make the customers happy because that's what I love to do; Make people happy. Seeing people happy makes me feel happy. When it's me that makes them happy it really boosts my esteem.

"Good job today, Mind." Sharon, my boss complimented.

"Thanks Sharon. I did well today, not one unhappy customer, like always!"

"They love you. You have that personality. I'll see you early Monday morning and don't do too much schoolwork. You got it down girl! I got you." Sharon waved me goodbye. I left out and walked to my car. I really loved working with Jess and Sharon. The others were temps, and they were nice too but I didn't click much with them. I guess it's because I've been with Jess and Sharon for over a year now and they have been helpful in trying to help me to get through beauty school.

On the way home I thought about the guy in black whose hair I cut. I've never seen him around before. And I would have thought my uncle, or my parents would have mentioned that there was a new dude living in the cabin my uncle built himself. Handsome this guy was. But he looked very unsure of himself. Almost like he was hiding behind a mask. I had this strong urge to want to talk to him some more and get to know him. I really wanted to understand why he didn't smile much and seemed shut off. Obviously, I was very attracted to him because he was a very good-looking guy, but I haven't the slightest idea how to meet and date men because I never really dated. I used to! I met a real nice man in high school, and we dated for a year our senior year. He wanted to take it to the next level. 4th base level and I wasn't ready. So he broke up with me and from then on, I just buried myself in schoolwork and my job.

But I wondered what it would be like to date the black-haired dude. I didn't even get his name. Sharon knows it! She has too! I'm sure she scheduled him before. I'll ask her tomorrow.

As I made my way home, I spotted a UPS truck in our driveway. My new fuzzy fur blanket arrived!! I'm the type of girl who LOVES to curl up with a good book and blankets. I was planning to have a great weekend relaxing with no distractions.

I grabbed the package and headed inside. My parents were asleep on the couch watching their nightly Friday night shows, so I ran up the stairs, got out of my clothes and hopped in the shower. The water felt amazing on my face and my body. After a long day, this was heaven. I couldn't wait to curl up and relax.

As I washed up, my mind wondered - It almost looked as if he were trying to ask me out or something. I was very intrigued, and I intended to find out more about the guy in black that's staying in my uncle's cabin by the lake.

After my shower I dressed and curled up in my bed. Before I even got to my book my eyes drifted and I went out.

The next day early in the morning, I called Sharon to ask her if she remembered the good-looking guy's hair I cut yesterday.  And she did. "He came in one time like a year ago. I think his name is Tony. Why?" She asked.

"Oh no reason," I said. "I found out he rents my uncle's cabin."

I hung up with Sharon after going over the schedule and headed downstairs to greet my parents at the breakfast table. "Good morning!" Mom said all bright eyed. Mom and dad were early birds and asleep by 6 pm at night most nights.

"Morning mom, Hey I want to ask you something." She looked at me. "Do you know about the guy uncle Jerry is renting to while he's away? Did he say something about it."?

Mom looked up as if she was trying to remember and then, "As a matter of fact he did. He said he started renting to a young guy three months ago and that was about it."

"Oh ok cool because I cut his hair yesterday." Mom looked at me with confusion. "No I mean I was cutting his hair and he mentioned that he is renting an apartment in the cabin duplex and that Uncle Jerry was his landlord. I just wanted to know a little more about him that's all." I looked down and fiddled with my yogurt.

"Oh well sweetie your uncle wouldn't rent to just anybody. If you are thinking he's going to destroy anything or steal from your Uncle I'm sure you are wrong, and that Jerry went through extensive background checks to pick the right tenant." She spoke. She was so sure of herself about her brother.

"No that's not why I am asking," I whispered under my breath as she got up to wash the dishes. I finished my yogurt, smiled at dad who was too consumed with the morning paper and headed upstairs to finish my book and start some schoolwork. I couldn't wait to get my own place but the support from my parents really helped me stay on track and after the breakup with Jake I just didn't want to be alone. But it was time to get on my own and try some independence. As I lay across my bed, I imagined what it would be like if I brought a guy up in my bedroom. Not only that but Tony.
