It was already dark outside. Gyuri was in one of the palace's chamber. She was sitting on the day bed beside the window, staring at the sky full of stars. "It's getting late" she reached out to the window and shut it. She went to the bed and went into the cover. Her eyes were still wide open. "Unfortunately, I'm not sleepy"

She heaved a sigh. "Maybe" she pushed the cover aside and sat up. "I should take a stroll for a bit" Gyuri took the outer garment the palace had lent to her and wore it over her night gown, also borrowed from the palace. Her steps led her out the door and through the dim lighted hallway then out to the balcony. She leaned against the hand-carved wood railing. Her view directed to the courtyard of the palace before her. She smiled to herself.

"Still awake?"

She looked up. A smile stretched on her lips. "Daniel"

Daniel joined beside her.

"I couldn't sleep. So I thought maybe I can after some walk" she spoke. "Yea, me too" he smirked. "You nervous about starting our journey tomorrow?"

"Kind of. Maybe that's the reason I couldn't close my eyes"

"Anyway" he turned to the courtyard too. "What are you looking at?"

"This place" she began. "Remember how you and His Majesty always play sword since you were little?"

Daniel chuckled. "Of course I remember"

Both of them stared at the courtyard, recalling the sword training between Daniel and King Hyunil since they were little. Daniel would win every time they trained, but the King finally able to defeat Daniel when they were grown up.

"You were so happy at that time" Gyuri voiced. "Of course! I beat that guy most of the time" Daniel chuckled. "Remember how His Majesty throw tantrum when his father appointed a stranger as his sparring partner?" "He was so childish at that time. Well, I did offer myself, since we had been buddies since we were little. But" he turned to Gyuri. "Is it true that I was took into the palace by the late King? I have little recollection of that memory"

"Yes. A war broke and the capital soldiers joined the war. You were found by the late King after the war end at a village. He heard a baby cry and discovered you" "So he just took me in? Without much thinking" "Yup, and treat you like his own child" "Woah" Daniel turned to the courtyard again. "So it was true. I thought the rumours are just made up"

"But what happen to my real family?" he once again turned to her. "That part" she smiled. "I'll tell you about it later"

"You two still up?"

Both Daniel and Gyuri turned to the source of the voice to find Wonwoo was walking towards them.

"Can't sleep too?" Daniel asked. Wonwoo shook his head and leaned against the railing beside Gyuri.

"Perhaps you nervous about starting our journey tomorrow?" Gyuri guessed. "Maybe" Wonwoo sighed. "But I believe we can do this"

"Of course we can" Gyuri nudged Daniel on his elbow. "We have this guy to teach us some fighting skills"

Daniel chuckled.

"Yea since we are on the topic" she turned to Daniel. "You know, I had been wanting to say this ever since we came into this world. It's weird seeing you here in your own world with my own eyes"

"Tsk. Weird" "But you look the best here. Maybe because seeing you in your uniform, in local clothes, it really suits you"

Daniel's eyes trailed to Wonwoo as she talked. He noticed Wonwoo looked away, jealous at Gyuri praising him.
