Gyuri was at a restaurant. Her face was all gloomy as she stared at her empty plate.

"Gyuri" Daniel came and joined her at the table with a smile. Gyuri looked up to him. Wonwoo followed to join the table.

"What's with the long face?" Wonwoo asked. Gyuri met his eyes. Though it had been weeks since Wonwoo pecked her, she had a hard time to look at him in the eyes. "I lost my book" she reached out to her drink and gave it a stir.

"Book?" "Yup" "I can help you look for it. Where do you lost it?" "I'm not sure. All that I know, I couldn't find it this morning"

"Which book?" Daniel asked. "The turquoise book" she replied. Both Wonwoo and Daniel gasped. "It's that one you use to write down your story plot, right?" Wonwoo asked. She nodded with a pout. "I don't really mind that I couldn't find the book. It just that, now I need to write the plot again from the point where I stop"

"Hey" Wonwoo called her. She looked up to him. "Don't worry. I'll help you with the storyline" he glanced at Daniel. "Right, Dan?"

"Yup" Daniel nodded. "I'll help too!"

A smile appeared on her lips. "Thanks you two. I'm so lucky to have such nice friends" She turned to the menu in front of her. "Now let's choose what for dinner, shall we?"

Daniel stole a glance at Wonwoo from the corner of his eyes and saw his disappointed look.

"Wonwoo-yah" Gyuri joined Wonwoo who was walking out the library. "Here you are" he smirked. "I was looking for you in the library"

"Oh, I was hungry so I went to cafeteria" "But I thought we had lunch together" "But I'm still hungry" she smiled sheepishly. Wonwoo snickered. He looked around the park.

"You sure you want to stay here to write your story?" "Nah it's our story" "Why do you say so?" "Because we write it together" she smiled.

"And Daniel can join us here. I don't want him to go to the library. Girls would be swarming over him later" she smirked. He chuckled. "Yup I agree" He took out his phone. "Did you ask Dan to come over?"

"I already did. He said he'll be on his way so maybe he'll be here any minute"

They approached an empty gazebo.

"This place would be perfect" she spoke as she approached the bench. They looked around the gazebo. Wonwoo paused when he heard hissing. Slowly he turned to the source of sound that was at the bench. Gyuri too turned to the source of sound. She gasped and froze, petrified.

Daniel was about to take another step when he sensed something bad happened. "Oh no don't tell me..!" he ran faster. *Gyuri, Wonwoo!*

The two couldn't move as they were too scared. The snake kept on trying to bite Gyuri. For the third time, the snake approached at fast speed with its fang visible, ready to attack. Wonwoo jumped in front of Gyuri before he toppled onto the ground, unconscious.

"Yah!" she kneeled to him and spun him to face her. A bite mark on his arm with his veins nearby turned black from the poisonous bite. Gyuri gasped. She looked up to meet eyes with the snake. Her eyes widened.

Gyuri fell onto the ground, eyes closed. A bite mark was on her neck. The snake glided out the gazebo but before it could go far, a set of foot came and stomped onto it to its skin. Daniel panted, both from the running and anger at the snake. "Damn it, Jinyoung" he swore. The snake vanished into the air. Daniel looked up to see Gyuri and Wonwoo unconscious. His eyebrows furrowed. "I'm so sorry both of you..." He glowed and vanished.

The ambulance stopped in front of the hospital. Two stretchers were pushed down the hallway into the operation room.

Mr. and Mrs. Jang came running into the hospital. They ran to the intensive care unit. Unfortunately, no one was allowed into the room. Gyuri parents stared at her from the window, held to the bed with tubes and machines around her. Mrs. Jang buried her face into her husband's arm, sobbing. Mr. Jang stared at his daughter with sad eyes. His eyes trailed to her bitten neck with veins nearby turned black and more visible.

The couple walked out to the waiting room. A man in corporate suits was sitting there, facing down. Melancholy filled the room. A doctor came into the room. "Jang Gyuri and Jeon Wonwoo's guardians'?" he called. Mr. Jang, Mrs. Jang and the man looked up and approached the doctor.

"I'm Jeon Wonwoo's brother" the man introduced himself to the doctor. "We're Gyuri's parents" Mr. Jang introduced themselves to the doctor. He glanced to the man and bowed. The man bowed back.

"I will explain the details about their condition" the doctor began. "Both Gyuri and Wonwoo were found at the park by some passer-byer. And it turned out that they were bit by an unidentified poisonous snake. For the time being, both the patients are in stable condition but their condition could change since the poison is yet to be identified"

"Does that mean the poison is still in their body?" Wonwoo's brother asked. The doctor nodded with a disappointed look. Mrs. Jang's legs went weak that she almost toppled.

"We did our best to take out the poison. Unfortunately, not all of them. The side effect of the poison will be fatal"

"And they could die" Wonwoo's brother continued. This time, the doctor couldn't reply. Wonwoo's brother sighed.

"We can only hope for the best" the doctor spoke. He excused himself.

The three of them were left in shock and disbelief. Once again, Mrs. Jang almost toppled but Mr. Jang quickly caught her. Wonwoo's brother helped him to let Mrs. Jang take a sit.

"You okay, hun?" Mr. Jang asked his wife who just nodded with a blank face. Wonwoo's brother ran to his place for a while and came back with a water bottle. He uncapped it and held it to Mrs. Jang. She looked at the water bottle for a bit before took it and drank. "Thank you" she spoke with a slow voice.

"You must be in shock too" Mr. Jang took his attention. "Nae" Wonwoo's brother nodded. His eyes widened as he forgot to introduce himself. "I'm Jeon Taekwon, Wonwoo's brother and guardian" he bowed.

Mr. Jang gave him a smile and patted his shoulder. Taekwon nodded, understood Mr. Jang intention of comforting him. They exchanged smiles to encourage each other.

A few days later, Gyuri and Wonwoo were moved to the ordinary ward but both still unconscious. They were located in the same room since they must be kept in close check.

Mrs. Jang helped wiped Gyuri arm. She stared at her daughter's face. Gyuri was wearing the oxygen mask. The electrocardiogram machine beside the bed showed her weak and slow heartbeat. Tears slid down Mrs. Jang face. "Please don't take my daughter away. She's just too young"

Taekwon continued to stare at Wonwoo's face. An oxygen mask worn to him too. Taekwon reached to his hand at his side. "Aish, wake up, you jerk. I'm worried of you right now" he bit his lips to keep it from quivering. "It's so frustrating that we can only wait"
