Gyuri opened her eyes to see herself in the middle of the empty road. She looked around. "Finally District 10!"
"Felix!" she called him as she walked around.
"Hey" Felix appeared behind her. She turned to him. They exchanged smiles. "What should we do today?" she asked. "Any suggestion?"
"Well... I have a request though" "Really? What is it?" "Can we do everything that I want today?" "Duh! Of course! What is it that you want to first?" "Let's get something to eat first" "Okay then. Let's go"
But before Gyuri could walk further, Felix made her stop, by hugging her from behind.
"Yah" she chuckled. "What's going on? What are you doing?"
"Nothing. I just miss you" Felix mumbled. "Hey" she called and tried to turn to him but he forbade her. "Felix, did something happen to you today? You're scaring me. C'mon tell me"
"Nothing unusual. I just want to hug you, that's all" he chuckled. "Yah" she chuckled and broke the hug. She faced him and went into his arm. "Better?"
Felix hugged her tighter. "Much better" he smiled. They stayed like that for a few moments. "Alright" he broke the hug. "We can go now"
"Alright then" "Let's go" he took her hand and they skidded to a dessert restaurant.
They took a seat near the window that have table full off desserts.
"Woah~ These look delicious!" Gyuri exclaimed. "Though I don't feel full in reality"
"But isn't that the best part?" Felix helped her to sit. "You can eat till your heart content. So let's dig in!"
They started to enjoy the desserts. Felix stared at Gyuri as she ate. He chuckled and helped wipe the crumb on her lips. She smiled at him.
"Here" she held out a pudding to him. "You remember when we used to fight over the last pudding every time your mom makes some at home?"
"Of course I remember!" he took the pudding. "That's the best pudding I've taste"
"I'll learn the recipe from your mom so I can make some for you" "Aww~ Thanks, Gyuri. But looks like I have to wait for that to happen" "Well you know how horrible cook I am. But I will sure try to make the pudding. Since it's your favorite dessert" They exchanged smiles.
After ate, they strolled down the rows of shops. Felix looked down Gyuri's hands swaying as she walked. "Gyuri" he called. "Yup" she glanced at him. "Can I hold your hand? Just like when we were little?" "What?" she turned to him with a chuckle. "You don't need permission for that, silly" she took his hand and put it into her hand. She pulled him to walk again with her. Felix smiled.
"So what should we do next?" she asked. "Actually, I'm not really a good trip planner" he smiled sheepishly. "I don't know what to do today. I kind of blank for this whole day"
"Don't worry. I know where we can go" Gyuri pulled him to run forward with her.
From the cemented pavement they were strolling on, their feet were pacing down the white sandy beach.
"Woah!" Felix's mouth was agape. "Yah" he turned to her in disbelief. Gyuri let go off his hand and ran ahead on him before turned around. "Isn't this awesome? We can play in the sea and at the fun fair. Just like the old time"
Felix saw the fun fair ride behind her. He was touched. "Yah" his voice cracked a bit but she didn't notice. "Want to play at the fun fair first?"
"You read my mind, did you?" she giggled. "Let's go! And then we can watch the sunset later"
Felix and Gyuri rode all the ride there. Gyuri looked down to their entwined hands. *He never let go off my hand* she smirked. "Yah, I'm not going anywhere, okay?"
Felix noticed she referred to their hands. "I know" *But I will* "Just let me do what I want, will ya?" he smirked.
Both of them had animal shaped cotton candy in their hands. They were strolling down the beach while watching the sunset. Felix watched as Gyuri was enjoying the cotton candy. "Here" he held his cotton candy to her. "Aren't you going to eat it?" "Nah. Watching you eat is more than enough" "You think I'm making a mukbang is it?"
Felix laughed at her feistiness. He walked ahead and stopped. Gyuri joined to stand beside him, watching the sunset.
"I'm sure to miss this scenery a lot" he voiced with a slight melancholic smile. His eyes sadden. "I can show you the sunset anytime you want, remember?" she smirked.
Felix suddenly turned to her. "Gyuri, I have something to tell you" "What is it?"
He looked deep into her eyes. She sensed the tense atmosphere. He wrapped his arms around her. "Hey, Felix" she called but he ignored her. "I wish we can stay like this forever" he voiced. Gyuri was about to reply when she felt tears fell onto her shoulder. "Felix..."
"I'm so sorry, Gyuri. I have been deceiving you all this time" "What do you mean?" "I'm going. I can't stay in District 10 with you anymore, accompanying you" "Yah, where are you going?" He didn't reply. "Yah, tell me. Why are you scaring me a lot today?"
"We will never meet again after this" "What the... I said I will visit your home in our real world. So of course we will meet again-" "No"
Gyuri sensed the next thing that will happen but she didn't want to believe it. Tears streamed down her cheeks. "Felix, tell me"
"I'm already dead"
