It was another usual day at the Water Kingdom. Gyuri walked down the hallway to the dining hall to meet Jinyoung as usual. Gyuri stepped into the dining hall as the door opened. At the other end of the dining table, sat Jinyoung, resting after he had his light brunch.
"Gyuri-ssi" he called with joy. Gyuri took a sit at an empty seat beside him. She didn't even reply his greeting nor look at him. "Okay" Jinyoung shrugged. He held the book to her. "Today I think I want to have the Animal Kingdom today"
Gyuri's head shoot up to him. "NO!" *That's Daniel's home!* "I'm not gonna let you hurt anyone anymore!"
Jinyoung was stunted. He broke into laughter. "Maybe I just misheard something" he scratched his ears. "You suppose to say 'okay' and just write as I say"
"No" Gyuri stood. Her hand curled into a tight fist. "I'm not obeying you anymore!"
Jinyoung stood and approached her. He stopped in front of her. He held out his hand to her, Gyuri backed away. "Hey, don't worry" Jinyoung placed his hand on her head. His small smile suddenly turned into an evil smirk. He grabbed onto her hair. Gyuri was dragged across the floor.
"Yah!" Gyuri's shout echoed across the castle. "Let me go! Please!" she begged, crying.
"Not hear you" Jinyoung jeered her.
Jinyoung threw Gyuri onto the floor. Gyuri couldn't get up as she curled into tears. He stomped onto his throne. Jinyoung reached out for his staff and came back to her. Gyuri looked and saw him. Jinyoung tilted his head to her. "Isn't it easier if you just listen to me?!"
The staff swung and landed onto Gyuri's back. The impact made a few bones crack. A loud wail filled the hall. Gyuri coughed blood. Her eyes widened.
"Sire!"
Jinyoung paused. He stood straight as one of his men ran up to him. He held out something to him and whispered. In Jinyoung's hand was the leaves Gyuri used to write secretly. The man dismissed. Jinyoung's hand curled into a tight fist, crushing the leaves under the pressure. He turned to Gyuri, furious. "What have you done?!" he hissed. The leaves suddenly caught on fire, as Gyuri had wrote. Jinyoung panicked.
Gyuri smirked with blood stained her lips. "Got cha!"
Jinyoung held the staff tight again and proceeded to smack her with it. Gyuri tried to get away but her head was light, she almost passed out. The door was opened. She saw two silhouttes entered the hall. A smile grew on Gyuri's lips. She used every ounce of her strength left to try push herself off the ground.
A loud deafening screamed echoed along with the sound of bones cracked. The staff had flown and landed on her hand. Both Daniel and Wonwoo who stood at the door gasped. Gyuri curled as she bawling her eyes out. Jinyoung smirked as he turned to the guys and threw the staff aside.
"You" Daniel hissed under his breathe.
Jinyoung turned his attention again to Gyuri. His hand reached for the sword at his waist. Daniel's eyes widened. He dashed and snatched the staff on the floor. The sword swung towards Gyuri's neck but the sword was knocked away by the staff. Jinyoung was thrown to the side. At the sight of the fallen king, the guards lunged toward the commotion only to be thrown back, just as written on the leaf. Wonwoo's hand began to take out a book and a pen in complete panic.
Daniel turned to Gyuri. They met eyes. Unfortunately, Daniel couldn't go to her as he was thrown to the side. Jinyoung had kicked him. The staff rolled away from Daniel. Jinyoung grabbed the sword that fell far from him and lunged for Gyuri. Gyuri shut her eyes, waiting for the next horrible scene.
A few second passed. Gyuri opened her eyes... only to meet eyes with Daniel.
"Hey" he whispered with a smirk. Their eyes went down to his abdomen. Blood started to drench his clothes. "No" Gyuri whispered. Wonwoo couldn't even move his feet, he was too shock. He blinked tears.
"Aish! You guys really like to waste my time, right?" Jinyoung complained. He casually pulled the sword embedded in Daniel's body out. Daniel muffled his shout. His body fell weakly to the side but Gyuri quickly caught him. "No... Daniel..." she called with tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Now let's just end this quickly" Jinyoung once again raised his sword, aiming for Gyuri.
Wonwoo shut his eyes, his hand gripping on the pen tightly after he finished writing 'The king of the great Steel Kingdom vanished before them, without a trace'
Jinyoung's hand froze mid-air. "What..." he was confused. He turned to the side and saw Wonwoo. "YOU!" he lunged for him. Wonwoo's grip on the pen and book tighten. He watched as Jinyoung approached him.
"What the-" Jinyoung saw his left leg began to lost its shape before it completely vanish. He fell onto the ground without a thud as his whole body vanished.
"It work!" Wonwoo whispered. His head snapped to Gyuri and Daniel and ran to them.
Gyuri placed her broken hand onto the wound on Daniel's abdomen. Daniel looked up to Gyuri who was crying.
"Dan" Wonwoo knelt beside him. Daniel turned to him. "Wonwoo... please take care of Gyuri, make her happy"
"Yah, don't say something like that. You're going to survive" Wonwoo replied. He wiped his tears.
"Wonwoo, please" Daniel voiced. Wonwoo had his attention to him. "I know Gyuri is hard to get since she friendzoned everyone she met. But please don't lose hope" he chuckled.
"Yah" Wonwoo couldn't crack at his bad joke at that time.
Daniel turned to Gyuri. Gyuri held onto his hand tightly.
"I'm so sorry, Gyuri. I don't mean to leave you, letting you in pain of losing someone again"
Gyuri shook her head. "No, don't say that. You're not leaving me. You're going to come back with us, we're going to visit more fun places together, and, me and Wonwoo can come here and you show your favourite places here in your world. Just- don't leave us. I can't lose another friend"
"I'm so sorry, Gyuri" Daniel bit his lips. "But I have to. Because that's how I want our story to end"
Daniel used his energy left to take the book and pen in Wonwoo's grip. Wonwoo helped him to open to an empty page at the back. Daniel's winched as he struggled to write. Though his hand writing was wobbly, both Wonwoo and Gyuri could read the words.
'The two traveller vanished to their own world to complete their quest. And looking forward to continue their lives as a new positive person'
"No" Gyuri snatched the book away. Her eyes saw her hand started to become transparent. And so did Wonwoo's hands. Daniel smiled. "Now go finish the story" his eyes went to Wonwoo then Gyuri. Gyuri and Wonwoo couldn't held their tears anymore. Daniel closed his eyes forever. Gyuri eyes widened as she couldn't feel the pulse on Daniel's hand.
Wonwoo and Gyuri looked up and met each other's eyes. They saw their whole body became transparent. They turned to see Daniel for the last time before vanished.
