Y/N Y/L/N and Jade Thirlwall had been best friends since they were in diapers. Their moms were friends in high school and had remained friends ever since. When Jade went on the X-Factor, Y/N was her biggest fan. Jade had tried to convince Y/N to audition with her but Y/N refused. When Little Mix won, Y/N was so proud of Jade. Jade couldn't imagine her life without her best friend.
The year after Little Mix won, Y/N decided to audition for the X-Factor. Jade had no idea until she had went to perform with Little Mix. She couldn't describe the amount of pride she had watching her best friend own the stage. Unfortunately, Y/N was the runner up but luckily, Simon had seen potential in her so he signed her to his label.
Three years later, Y/N was as big as Little Mix. She had releases two albums and had just finished her first world tour. Her first ever tour, she only toured the UK and Ireland. She arrived at the airport and checked her phone. She had texts from her mom and her friend Josh. Her mom's text was to remind her of the get together that was being held at her mom's house and Josh was asking when they could hang out. Before she could respond to either text however, a blur of brown hair engulfed her vision.
"Y/N! You're home!" Y/N laughed as her sister hugged her tight. "Ashley, can't breathe dude." Ashley giggled and pulled away. She grabbed Y/N's bag. "Okay. Home we go."
Ashley and Y/N laughed and sang to the radio all the way home. As they pulled into the driveway, their brother Ben came sprinting out of the house to Y/N. He picked her up as soon as she got out of the car and spun her around. "My tiny sister is home!" Y/N playfully glared at the boy. "Just because you're six foot two, doesn't change the fact that I am older you fucker." Ben laughed as their mom came out. "Now Y/N, I know you didn't call my baby a rude name." Y/N smiled and went to hug her mom. "Hi mom. I missed you." A voice was heard from behind Y/N and her mom.
"Y/N Y/L/N. In the flesh." Y/N laughed. "Is that Queen Norma Thirlwall I hear?" Norma shook her head playfully as Y/N hugged her. "How have you been?" Norma squished Y/N's cheeks. "I have been good pet. How was your tour?" Y/N smiled. "Tiring. How's your daughter?" Norma smiled. "She's good. She's gonna be here for the get together. Her and the girls are getting ready at our house and waiting for Jed."
Ah, Jed. Jade's boyfriend. Jed didn't like Y/N. At all
Y/N noticed that Norma said Jed's name in a disgusted manner. Y/N looked at the woman confused. "Why did you say his name like that?" Norma sighed. "I don't like him. He doesn't treat her right in my opinion." Y/N chuckled. "I wish she was with you instead of him. I can't trust him as far as I can throw him."
Y/N laughed. "Norma, you know Jade doesn't feel the same way about me." Norma smiled at Y/N. "I wouldn't be too sure pet." Before Y/N could respond, her mom yelled from the kitchen. "Go freshen up Y/N! Our guests will be here soon!" Y/N shook her head and headed to her room to get showered and changed.
Jade, Jed and the girls arrived shortly after Y/N headed to change and shower. Jade and Jed had argued before arriving at the Y/L/N's so Jade was not in the best mood. She just wanted to see Y/N so her mood could brighten. She hadn't told anyone but her mom that she had feelings for Y/N. She was only with Jed because she didn't think that Y/N had feelings for her.
They were all sitting around talking to Y/N's siblings as Jed was on his phone, looking uninterested in the conversation. Jade finally decided to ask the question she had been dying to ask since she arrived. "Where's Y/N?" She felt Jed tense up next to her. Ben answered. "In her room. I think after she showered, she took a little nap. I can go get her if you want me to." Jade shook her head. "No, I'll go get her." Norma and the rest of the girls shared a look.
The girls had guessed their little Jeed had feelings for Y/N. They had decided not to confront her to put her in an uncomfortable position. Jed grabbed Jade's shirt as she got up. "No, babe, stay here. I'm sure she'll get up soon." Jade looked back and glared at him. "No. I want to see my best friend so I am going to see my best friend." She yanked her shirt out of his grasp and walked off to Y/N's room, failing to see the angry look on Jed's face.
