Alex and Perrie were scared shitless.
Both of them were currently in Belfast for the LM5 tour when Perrie got a phone call from St. Lucas hospital back in London saying that Y/N had been involved in a really bad car accident. The worst thing about it is that Perrie couldn't leave until it was time for their six day break. Alex had called his mom, as did Perrie to go to the hospital to wait for any news on their girlfriend. Alex had decided to stay with Perrie to make sure she didn't have a nervous breakdown.
The show was going great until the girls started singing Secret Love Song. When it came to Perrie's part, she couldn't get through it. Jade pulled her close to her and began to sing for her as the other two girls huddled around the blonde. They consoled the girl before the song ended and headed off stage to change. Perrie immediately walked into Alex's open arms and sobbed into his chest. Alex kissed her head. "I'm so worried about Y/N Alex. What if she doesn't make it?"
Alex shook his head. "Don't think like that babe. She is going to make it." Perrie nodded and allowed Alex to wipe her tears before going off to change. Alex checked his phone for any news, only to see none. He sighed and went back to his place to watch the rest of the show.
Back in London, Wendy and Debbie anxiously waited in the waiting room for the doctor to come talk to them. It had been about three hours since they had arrived and they had heard nothing. They were extremely anxious as were Perrie and Alex. A doctor walked in and the women's hearts dropped.
There was blood on his scrubs and he looked exhausted. "Y/N Y/L/N?" They stood. He smiled tiredly at the two. "She's out of surgery, but unfortunately she isn't out of the woods. Her brain has swelled so we have put her in a medically induced coma until it goes down." A gasp was heard from behind them and they saw Perrie and Alex and the girls and the dancers.
Perrie had tears streaming down her face and Alex looked like he was going to be sick. The doctor told them the room number and walked away. Perrie automatically rushed to the room while Alex stayed rooted to his spot. Wendy walked up to her son only for him to drop to his knees and sob. She wrapped her arms around him as the rest of the girls and their dancers walked to Y/N's room to give them privacy.
"Mom, I can't lose her. I can't." Wendy shushed him and kissed his head. "You won't, love. I promise you won't. Let's go see her."
Alex walked in to see Perrie sitting in a chair at Y/N's bedside holding her hand. He felt his knees almost give out as Claud wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "She's gonna be okay Alex." Alex nodded with tears streaming down his face. Y/N looked so small on the bed. She had multiple wires to multiple machines connected to her and a tube going down her throat. Cuts and bruises littered her skin as her leg and left arm were in casts.
Alex took a seat in the other chair on Y/N's bedside and sighed. Jesy spoke up. "Maybe you guys should speak to her. I've seen in movies that people in comas can hear people talking to them and it helps to wake them up." Perrie looked at Alex who had a blank look on his face. "Can you give us a few minutes guys?" Everyone nodded and went out of the room, talking about hotel rooms and food.
Perrie got up from her spot and went to sit in Alex's lap. She ran her fingers through his curls as she saw his resolve breaking. "Bubs." That broke the dam as Alex began to sob into Perrie's chest. She pulled him close and shushed him. "Bubs, she is going to be okay. Our girl is a fighter." Alex sniffled and hugged Perrie impossibly closer. "I know. But, I just wish she had come with me to see you on tour. This would've never happened."
Perrie sighed and kissed his head. "I know baby. But please don't blame yourself." The couple was interrupted by a whimper as their heads whipped towards the bed. Y/N's eyes fluttered open before her face contort into pain. Perrie and Alex shot up to comfort her. Perrie pressed the nurse button and a few seconds later, the nurse and the doctor walked in.
After seeing that Y/N was awake, they removed the tube from her throat and administered pain meds. Perrie and Alex stayed by her side the whole time.
"Ms. Y/L/N, we are going to have to keep you here for a while to monitor your brain and your other internal injuries unfortunately but all that matters is that you are awake a lot sooner than we expected. We will be back later for another check up on you. Press that button if you need anything okay?"
The doctor walked out and Perrie and Alex gently smothered Y/N with kisses and gentle touches. Perrie looked at their girl with tears in her eyes. "We are so glad you are okay baby. We were so worried." Y/N smiled softly at the girl before looking at Alex.
"Lex? Are you okay?" Alex looked at her and kissed her forehead. "Now that you're awake, I am." Y/N smiled. "Do you remember what happened?" Perrie asked. Y/N frowned. "I was driving home from the store. I was at the light. My light turned green and then everything went black." Alex growled. "I swear the asshole that hit you won't get away with this baby."
Y/N smiled at her boy's protectiveness. "Let's not worry about that now. I want you two to cuddle me." The pair looked at each other before carefully getting in Y/N's bed and wrapping their arms around her gently. "Now, you two get some rest. You look exhausted." Perrie chucked before kissing Y/N's cheek. "Don't go anywhere. Got me?"
Y/N smiled at the two.
"Wouldn't dream of it."
