Y/N stood off in a corner.
She couldn't believe what just happened.
The happy couple was currently parading around, soaking in the congratulations from everyone. She was currently nursing a vodka soda with a sour look on her face. She felt someone stand next to her and she looked over to see Jesy.
"You okay, Y/N? You seem down." Y/N nodded her head. "Fine. Just tired." Jesy looked at the girl confused and then followed her line of vision to see what she was looking at. "You could still tell her, you know." Y/N looked at Jesy incredulously. "And get killed by her new fiancé? I'll pass. Plus, she's happy. I don't want to ruin that."
As if on cue, Perrie had made her way over to where Jesy and Y/N were standing. "Y/N! I've been looking for you!" Y/N gave the girl a fake smile. "Actually, I think Harry is calling me. So, I'm going to go over there." The girl walked off and headed over to the curly haired boy, failing to notice the sad look on Perrie's face.
"What's wrong with Y/N?" Jesy sighed. "You have to let Y/N tell you, babes. I can't." She walked off, leaving Perrie confused.
Y/N finally managed to make her way to where Harry and Niall were standing. Harry put his arm around her "You doing okay, Y/N?" Y/N nodded sadly as Niall stood on her other side, also wrapping his arm around her. The two know about Y/N's feelings for Perrie and how much she doesn't like Zayn.
Y/N sighed and looked around at how happy everyone was. She failed to notice the striking blue eyes studying her from a distance. Niall spoke up. "Why don't you tell her Y/N? At least do that so you can get that weight off of your shoulders." Y/N shook her head. "And then what? Be embarrassed for the rest of my life? Let Zayn kick my ass? Niall, it's not that easy."
The boys sighed at the sight of their friend so sad. Y/N sighed and downed the rest of her drink. "I'm gonna go. I'll call a cab, okay? I'll text you guys when I get home." Y/N hugged them and began to head to the exit. Before she got to the door, a hand grabbed her wrist. She turned to see the one person she had been trying to avoid all night.
"Bubs, where are you going?" Y/N looked at the girl and shook her head. "Home. I'm tired and I'm starting to get a headache." Perrie pouted. "But you haven't even danced with me yet." Y/N smiled at the girl sadly. "Maybe next time babes. I'm not feeling well." Perrie gasped. "Then I'm going with you. Let me go grab my stuff."
Before Perrie could go, Zayn came up to the two. "Hey baby. Where are you going?" Perrie looked at him and smiled. "Oh, Y/N isn't feeling well so I'm going to her place with her to take care of her!" Zayn subtly glared at Y/N. "But babe, tonight is about us. I'm sure Y/N can take care of herself."
Y/N gave the boy a fake smile and nodded. "Yeah, Pez. I'll be okay. Enjoy your night with your new fiancé. I'll call you later." Zayn piped up. "Or you could just not." Perrie turned to him. "Zayn! That was mean!" Y/N shook her head. "It's fine Perrie. My cab is here so I'm gonna go."
As she left, she could hear Perrie yelling at Zayn about how mean he was to her. She got in the cab, told the driver her address and headed back to her flat.
A couple weeks had passed since the incident and Y/N was avoiding Perrie now more than ever. She had cancelled their lunch dates, hadn't been texting her as frequently as usual, ignoring her phone calls. Perrie was getting worried and upset. To top it all off, her relationship with Zayn was getting rocky. Every time she brought up Y/N, he would talk bad about her best friend.
She had decided to go confront Y/N so she grabbed her keys and set off to Y/N's flat.
She stormed up to Y/N's door and knocked. She heard a faint groan from the other side of the door before it swung open. "Jesy, I told you, I am not in the mood to tal-" Y/N stopped when she saw it was Perrie. "Oh, Perrie. What can I do for you?" Perrie pushed past the girl and walked into her flat.
"Okay. Come on in, I guess." Y/N shut the door and followed Perrie into the living room. "Why have you been avoiding me?" Y/N froze. "What are you talking about?" Perrie glared at the girl. "Cancelling lunch dates, ignoring my phone calls, leaving me on read? Come on Y/N, I thought we were best friends."
Y/N sighed. "I've just been busy Pez. Nothing major." Perrie sighed. "Is this about how Zayn treated you at the party a couple of weeks ago? I told him to be nicer to you." Y/N shook her head. "No, it's not that." Perrie looked at the girl. "Then what is it?" Y/N shook her head. "I can't tell you."
Perrie's eyes filled with tears. "Why not? I tell you everything! Y/N, you're my best friend!" "That's it Perrie! That's all I will ever be!" Perrie froze. "What are you talking about?"
"I'm in love with you!"
