You were at work helping your friend Lewis in the studio when you got the text from Perrie.
"Hey. Did you see the video Leigh posted?"
Confused, you responded with "No. What is it?"
"Just go to the band page and watch the video. Also, when you get home, please tell her that we love her."
You gave her a response and went into the hallway to watch the video.
In the video, Leigh-Anne talked about racial inequality and how she had faced racism in her life before and during her time in the band. She talked about how she felt unloved due to the color of her skin. The whole video brought you to tears. After the video ended, you ran back into the studio to grab your things and excuse yourself. Lewis understood and told you to go take care of her.
You raced home as fast as you could. You probably broke a couple of speeding laws but you finally made it home. You raced inside looking for your girlfriend. "Babe? Where are you?" No response. That worried you just a tad until you heard pans rattling and cursing. You sighed in relief and headed toward the kitchen.
There stood your girlfriend, wearing one of your hoodies, humming "One I've Been Missing" with her back towards you. You walked over to her and wrapped your arms around her waist. She jumped before she realized it was you. "Hi babe. You're home early!" She turned in your arms and pecked your lips before burying her head in your neck. "Hi baby girl. How are you feeling today?" Leigh-Anne tensed a little bit. "I'm okay. Why are you asking?" You kissed her temple. "I saw the video you posted love."
Leigh-Anne sighed before pecking your neck. "I had to say something. It was weighing me down and I just feel bad for everyone of a different skin tone in America and all around the world so I wanted to let my voice be known and tell my story." You smiled and rubbed her back. "I'm so proud of you baby. You are one of the strongest people I know." Leigh-Anne smiled and kissed you passionately. "You are the best girlfriend ever." You smiled at her. "Now, how about I go run you a bath and I order us some of your favorite takeout?" She giggled and nodded before kissing you again and pulling you upstairs to your shared bedroom.
You brought her into the bathroom and had her sit on the counter while you ran the bath. She watched you with love in her eyes. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to have you as her girlfriend. You felt her eyes on you and looked over at her smiling. "Whatcha lookin' at baby girl?" She blushed. "You." You walked over to her and cupped her cheeks. "You're adorable. Now, get those clothes off so you can get in this bath." She hopped down from the counter and began stripping. After all of her clothes were off, she slid into the warm, soapy water as you picked up her dirty clothes and brought them to the hamper.
You walked back into the bathroom with fresh clothes and a towel before you looked over and saw her pouting at you. "What's wrong babe?" She made grabby hands at you. "Get in here with me. Please?" You smiled at her before removing your clothes and sliding in the tub behind her. She leaned against you and sighed happily. "I am so lucky to have you Y/N. I don't know what I would do without you." You smiled and kissed her temple. "I'll always be here for you baby."
After your bath, you two got dressed and went into the living room to order your takeout. Leigh-Anne was wearing one of her favorite hoodies of yours while she laid her head on your shoulder watching you order the food. "Okay, they said it'll be here shortly." She nodded and snuggled more into your side. "I love you Y/N." You smiled. "I love you too Leigh. How about you take a short nap before the food gets here?" She nodded and closed her eyes. You felt her slowly go limp as her breath evened out. You looked down at her and thought to yourself.
I am gonna marry this woman one day.
