Jeongyeon's POV

It's so hard to hide from Chaeyoung. And with a clumsy Dahyun? We are DEFINITELY having a hard time planning and sorting everything out. Chaeyoung being pretty quick hasn't even crossed any of our minds.

"Let's go." Tzuyu walked to her vehicle while twirling her car keys on her finger. Dahyun and I trailed behind her.

The three of us are now waiting for Chaeyoung's car to leave.

"Be on alert guys." Tzuyu commanded. She isn't turning the car engine on just yet, Chaeyoung might notice us.

_*three minutes later*_

"What is taking her so long?" Dahyun whined.

Tzuyu shushed her. "Stop, you're irritating." She scolded Dahyun, making me stifle a laugh. Tzuyu then faced me. "You too, shithead."

"What the fuck did I do?" I dramatically flailed my arms, making Tzuyu rolled her eyes.

"Shush guys, here she goes." Dahyun put a finger on Tzuyu and I's lips. We snapped our heads in Chaeyoung's direction and saw that Chaeyoung's leaving.

Tzuyu turned the engine on right away, slowly backing out of the parking lot and eventually trailing behind Chaeyoung.

"Dudes, I hope Chaeyoung wouldn't do anything stupid." Dahyun said.

"What? Aren't you supposed to be saying that about Lisa?" I just gave her a questioning look.

"Oh, you're right." Dahyun nodded. I just muttered an 'idiot'. "I'm pretty sure that Chaeyoung knows what she's doing." She added.

"If she does, then we shouldn't be here right now, following her like a creep." Tzuyu blantly said.

"Right." I nodded, agreeing to Tzuyu. "So should we head back now?"

"No. We are just watching out for her because we care for her. C'mon guys, use your common sense." Dahyun said with arrogance.

"I didn't know you had that." Tzuyu muttered.

A laugh escaped my lips. "Burn, bitch."

Dahyun just scoffed. "Whatever." Her frown is immediately changed with a smile as soon as she saw what's ahead of us.

"Oohh, she took your tip." I nudged Tzuyu as she flashed a small smile.

"Can we get coffee and doughnuts too? Please please please?" Dahyun pouted at Tzuyu.

"Sure, just don't make that face again. It's disgusting." Tzuyu let out a fake retch.

Despite of Tzuyu's insult, Dahyun cheered and clapped her hands in excitement. What a kid.

_* few minutes later *_

Tzuyu parked the car in a spot that has a view of Lisa's office window. Chaeyoung already went inside Lisa's office a couple minutes ago, and the three of us are keeping an eye on her.

"Guys, are the both of you sure that it's Lisa?" Dahyun asked Tzuyu and I.

"What's the point of Tzuyu hiring Mr. Yang and Mr. Nam?" I scoffed at her.

"They look okay tho, especially Lisa. She seems like a nice person." Dahyun added, making Tzuyu irritated.

"Do you even know what the word undercover mean, tofu?" Tzuyu snapped at her.

Dahyun paused for a second to think and said, "What?"

"Such an idiot." Tzuyu rolled her eyes at the confused girl.

Dahyun started to say something again, but my focus went back to Chaeyoung and Lisa. Chaeyoung stood up from her chair and it looks like she's in a trance. Lisa started clapping her hands and laughed. Chaeyoung kept talking and her tears are starting to fall.

My eyes widened and quickly stopped the two from their small banter. "You two shitheads, I think some shit is going on right now. Look!" I smacked their heads. They snapped their heads at the window and Tzuyu gasped.

"Should I ring the cops right now?" Dahyun asked. The three of us stood up and quickly headed back to where Tzuyu's car is parked.

Dahyun started calling the cops while Tzuyu remained silent, resting her back on the side of the car.

"I am hella nervous right now." I started pacing back and forth.

"I am too." Tzuyu muttered.

"Please hurry. Thank you so much." Dahyun lifted the phone off her hear and faced us. "They'll be on their way." She informed, which made Tzuyu and I relieved even just for a bit.

"Should we go back and peek on them again?" Dahyun requested.

"Let's go." Tzuyu answered as she tugged on both of our sleeves.

Chaeyoung's POV

"What the heck is wrong with you?!" I shouted at her. She just laughed and clapped her hands.

"There's nothing wrong with me." She stopped laughing and went back to her poker face. "Only with you."

"What the fuck do you want, Lisa?" My jaw clenched.

"Since I've failed to take your life, I think your soon to be company sounds good to me." She winked.

"What for?" I asked, still mad.

She picked up a pen and started twirling it on her fingers. "Nothing." She stopped playing with it and walked closer to me. "Oh actually, to make you feel just like how you made me feel back then."

"W-what?" I asked dumbfoundedly.

"Two words, Chaeyoung." She smirked. "Jennie Kim."

Jennie Kim. Jennie Kim. What? Wai- shit. "My ex best friend, Jennie Kim?" Confusion is evident in my voice. "What about her?"

Jennie was my best friend. Until one day, she just completely vanished from my life like a bubble. We had a beautiful friendship, and I thought it was gonna last forever. It's been two years, and I haven't heard anything from her ever since. I tried to reach out for her in all ways I can, but unfortunately I ended up with nothing. I tried forgetting her since then, and now she's just a stranger to me.

Lisa chuckled. "What do you mean, what about her? You took her away while I still loved her!" She stopped laughing and tears started to form on her eyes.

"W-what? I don't even know you!" I flailed my arms in exasperation.

"Oh, you do. You actually knew me so well." She weakly smiled. "The gifts and the love letters."
