Chapter Thirty-Eight

Jihyo's POV

"You guys can get out now." Chaeyoung turned off the engine as we all stepped down from the car. Chaeyoung locked the car then we started walking towards the mall. We're heading towards the foodcourt, since that's where we are supposed to meet the others.

Dahmo and Michaeng are walking in pairs, which made me pout. I really wish Daniel is here with me. From afar, the foodcourt is slowly coming in sight. As we were about to enter, Chaeyoung went beside me and put an arm around my shoulder.

"You're welcome." She winked as she went back to Mina. What did she mean by that?

"Pardon?" I furrowed my eyebrows at her. She just laughed and pointed her lips to the direction in front of us. I followed and turned my head.

Wait.

Daniel?

My Kang Daniel?!

He had his arms open, a huge smile plastered onto his face. I grinned and hurriedly ran in his direction. I wasted no time hugging him very tight, inhaling his scent in process. He always smells good, and it's one of the things I love about him. After a minute, we pulled away but he kept his arms around my body. I leaned back and looked at his face.

"You're here!" I smiled at him.

"Yeah, Chaeyoung told me to meet you guys here, and of course to surprise you with my presence." He smiled back.

Awe, Chaeyoung did that for me?

I pulled away from Daniel's arms and hugged Chaeyoung.

"Thank you Chaeyoungieee!" I thanked her.

She giggled and patted my hair. "No problem, thomas. It was actually Mina who gave me the idea to invite Daniel."

Michaeng is my favorite ship ever.

I pulled away from her and hugged Mina who's beside her.

"Thank you Minariii!" I thanked her too. She just giggled and hugged me back.

After a while, we both pulled away as I went back to my boyfriend's arms.

"Thank you for coming babe." I kissed his cheek and smiled.

"Anything for you, love." He winked.

"As much as I want to witness the cuteness between the both of you, I feel like I'm slowly dying because of hunger right now. We'll meet you guys later." Momo waved as she started walking away, dragging Dahyun with her. The girls and I laughed at Dahyun who kept tripping because she's having a hard time catching up with Momo's fast pace.

"Satzu's signing off for now." Tzuyu turned on her heels and intertwined her hand with Sana's.

"They really look cute together, don't they?" Nayeon stared in awe at the couple who's now slowly being out of sight.

"But we're cuter. Right?" Jeongyeon hugged her from behind.

"And we're the cutest." Chaeyoung teased, wrapping her arms around Mina. Nayeon stuck out her tongue in their direction as Chaeyoung rolled her eyes. Daniel and I laughed at the childish behavior of the two couples.

"Each one of you acts like a five year old kid." I rolled my eyes at them. "We'll get going now, meet you girls later!" I walked away, tagging Daniel with me.

Chaeyoung's POV

Jihyo and Daniel just left, and now Mina and I are stuck with the parents.

"What about you guys? Aren't you leaving?" I asked them. Jeongyeon just shrugged her shoulders and looked at Nayeon.

"Do you guys wanna watch a movie?" Nayeon questioned us.

"Babe?" I looked at Mina, waiting for her to speak up.

"Anything's fine by me, as long as I get to be with you." She shyly answered. A blush suddenly appeared on my face as I hugged her. 2yeon teased us and laughed.

"You are so cute!" I mumbled on her shoulder.

"Let's start walking now, shall we?" Jeongyeon pulled Nayeon's arm and started walking towards the cinema. Mina and I followed after them.

"I hope they wouldn't pick a horror movie." Mina pouted.

"You can squeeze my hand as hard as you can whenever you get scared." I wrapped an arm around her and pulled her closer.

"My sweet cubby." She leaned onto me and inhaled deeply. "I know I've said this multiple times before, but you really smell good." She blushed and hid her face on my neck.

"You smell better." I complimented back at her. She raised her head to meet my eyes with hers.

"No I don't, you do." She squinted her eyes.

I chuckled at her competitiveness. I sighed and smiled at her. "The both of us smells good. Fair enough?"

She just laughed, but eventually nodded in agreement. I diverted my eyes in front of us, and saw that we've finally reached the cinema. The two of us stopped beside 2yeon.

"Which movie are we gonna watch?" Jeongyeon asked as she scanned the movies that are available today.

"Anything but a horror one." Mina immediately answered in fear. 2yeon laughed at her, so I shot daggers at the both of them which stopped them from laughing right away.

Jeongyeon's laugh turned to a fake cough and nodded. "So uhm, no horror movies. Got it."

"How about Aladdin?" Nayeon suggested.

"Yeah, a friend recommended it. He said it was great." Jeongyeon smiled at us.

"Let's buy our tickets then." We all walked to the counter and bought our tickets. Once we're done, we went to the snack kiosk to purchase some popcorn and soda.

"We all good?" Jeongyeon asked while struggling with three popcorn buckets on her arms, since Nayeon wanted to try the three flavors.

"Do you need anything else?" I turned to Mina as I asked her, but she just shook her head. I looked back at Jeongyeon, then gave her a thumbs up.

"Okay, let's head inside." The four of us gave the staff the tickets and entered the cinema.
