Chaeyoung's POV

Weeks had already passed, Mina and I are stronger than ever. Every morning when I wake up, I always tend to feel exhilarated because of one reason. I'd get to see my lovely girlfriend. My Myoui Mina.

I asked her to be my girlfriend two weeks ago. The girls actually told me that I was being hilarious, since I was so nervous about asking Mina to be my girlfriend. They said it was so obvious that Mina would say yes, Jeongyeon even bet her and Nayeon's relationship over it which made the bunny furious.

"Hey bro, you done?" Dahyun wiped her hair with a towel, stepping out of the shower room. She immediately went to her locker and fixed her clothes.

We had just finished showering since we just had our volleyball training which went on for like, three hours. It's so tiring, gosh.

"Yeah. Have this, you look so drained." I gently threw a snickers bar at her which she caught smoothly.

"Thanks." She ripped the package of the chocolate open and took a bite off of it. Once we were done fixing our stuffs and our bag, we started walking out of the gym to meet the others at the loft. Jeongyeon is sick, and Tzuyu had a meeting to attend to. The rest of the girls straightly went to the loft after their classes, while Dahyun and I went straight to our training.

"I feel so worned out." I sighed as we both sat comfortably in my car. My free hand grabbed my phone and texted my girlfriend. I looked at the rear view mirror as I backed out of the parking lot and started driving towards the loft.

me: hey babe, Dahyun and I are on our way.

My phone immediately vibrated after I sent the message. Her fast reply made me smile, knowing she had been expecting my message.

my lady ❤: you should have texted me before you guys departed. r u driving?

me: yes i am. don't worry love, i got it.

my lady ❤: don't worry? how many times do i have to remind u, Son Chaeyoung? DON'T USE UR PHONE WHILE DRIVING.

I just sighed deeply and locked my phone.

"Yo, you good?" Dahyun may have noticed my sudden change of mood.

"Mina's mad at me. Ever since we got together, she just suddenly gets mad whenever I message her while driving." I frowned.

"What's up with her?" Dahyun asked.

"I seem to ask that question to myself as well, Dahyunnie." I sighed.

Her caller ID suddenly appeared on my screen, oh shit she's calling. I looked at Dahyun and saw that she's already looking at me with wide eyes. I'm so screwed.

I raised my phone to my ear, automatically answering the phone. I gulped out of nervousness.

"Didn't I tell you to call me instead of messaging me whenever you're driving?!" She raised her voice at me.

"Baby, I kind of forgot, I'm so sorry." I softly muttered over the phone.

"Calling me is much safer than messaging me! It's just a simple instruction, Chaeyoung. Is it that hard to follow?" She continued to ramble on, while I spaced out. What has gotten into her? Is she on her period?

I'm actually glad that Mina's finally opening up. We're learning to accept each other's flaws, and so far everything's good. We promised ourselves to be understanding with each other, mostly at those times where we needed each other the most. Being a student-athlete is not so easy. I have to balance my extracurricular activities with my academic performance.

And right now, I'm tired and all I want to do is to run up to Mina and melt in her arms. I know she's fully aware that I just had a three hours of our volleyball training, I informed her just this morning. I'm fully exhausted, why can't she calm down and stop being mad? Can't she spare me this time?

"SHIT CHAEYOUNG, ON YOUR LEFT!" I was immediately snapped out of my thoughts by Dahyun's scream. I quickly turned my head on my left referring to what Dahyun had just told me.

But all I saw was headlights approaching us, and it looked like it's not planning to stop.

Everything happened so fast; my body felt like it had been crushed, Dahyun hitting her head on her window hard which made her pass out.

"DAHYUN!" I shouted as I achingly reached my arms out for her. The car flew a bit because of the strong impact.

I felt myself being held back by my seatbelt, and the next thing I know, a piece of glass flew in my direction and stabbed me on my left bicep. Fuck, it hurts like hell.

The car finally came to halt, as I groaned at the pain I can feel all over my body. I touched my head with my right hand and felt that it's wet. I looked at my hand and saw blood. Lots of blood.

The last thing I remember was hearing Mina's panicked voice on the phone call.

I can't take all of this pain at once. So, I decided to close my eyes and let unconsciousness take over me.
