Chapter3; The Field Trip

"So what do we do now?" Kimberly asked after they had exchanged numbers and promised to stay in contact with each other, as suddenly the bushes were they were gathered was bathed with light "we should probably leave" Reese replied as they ran.
Sage ran up the stairs of her apartment, cursing as she bumped into her neighbor Old Mrs. Greta the neighborhood busybody and gossip, "morning Mrs. Greta beautiful day isn't it?" Said Sage as she attempted to move around Mrs. Greta, "yes it is, which reminds me I came to ask for a cup of sugar but there was none at home, I checked your room but you weren't there so I called your mother and told her" said Mrs. Greta, "oh, about that I went for a jog" Sage lied, Mrs. Greta nodded but she didn't look too convinced. Sage stepped by her and entered her apartment "where were you?" Her mother asked "I went jogging" Sage replied "with a coat" her   mother said "I was cold" Sage countered "it was 34 degrees" said Her mom "well I'm very sensitive to cold" said Sage "you sleep with your AC on the highest" said her mom, "fine, I went out to meet up with some friends" said Sage, her mother's face brightened "really?" She said, Sage nodded feeling guilty for tricking her mother "that's great you're finally settling down" said her mom as she hugged her.
Reese climbed up to his room, wiggling through his window falling in a heap on the floor, "where have you been?" Sara asked as she flicked on the light, "um, I went to Adriàn's house" he replied, as Sara rose an eyebrow "I know you went to the woods and found the dead body" she said, "what dead body?" He asked reigning innocence, "don't play innocent with me, I saw you that's why I drove back home" she said, "are you sure, I mean there are millions of citizens in Ceford Valley that have black hair" said Reese, "but how many of them have 'I Am Awesome' printed on their t-shirts?" Said Sara, "the ones that are awesome" Reese replied as Sara rolled her eyes "anyways, I can up here to tell you that my niece would be staying with us for a while so I need you to pick her up from the airport at nine thirty and take her to the opening of that new Lab, since I'll be in the hospital for a while" said Sara as she handed him two tickets.
Adriàn sighed as he flopped on his bed he managed to sneak back into his house without his mom noticing thank God she was a heavy sleeper. He turned so he was facing his alarm clock which read; 7:30, he sighed his sister's would most likely be up and that wouldn't be pretty as right on cue curses in english and spanish echoed through the house, Adriàn groaned as heaved himself out of bed and to the kitchen "buenos dias mama"  he greeted "buenos dias hijo" she replied, as Adriàn turned his attention to the twins who were arguing over a pair of earrings "what's going on?" Adriàn asked "Sofia doesn't want to give me MY earrings" said Lucia glaring at her twin "Mentirosa,the earrings are mine!" Said Sofia "I think both of you look great without the earrings" said Adriàn, Lucia and Sofia rolled their eyes as the door rang, Adriàn went to open the door, Reese was standing by the doorway wearing a grey sweatshirt and black jeans he held a brown in his left hand "what do you want?" Adriàn asked as he let Reese in "Sara wants me to pick up her niece and take her to some lab" said Reese, Adriàn sighed "buenos dias Mrs. Apellido" said Reese as Adriàn's mom smiled warmly at him, "you guys look nice" said Reese referring to the twins "really?" They asked their cheeks red, Reese nodded as Adriàn rolled his eyes and padded back to his room to brush his teeth and take a shower he came back later wearing a white hoodie and brown shorts.
Immediately Irena entered her room she took a cold bath and dressed in her school uniform, a dark blue blazer, white button down shirt with a flap collar, a red ribbon and a dark blue plaid skirt with white socks , black shoes  she pulled her hair in two bunches that lay on her shoulder before picking up her bag and heading for the dining room. Breakfast was a delicious spread of various intercontinental breakfast dishes, Irena was adding another crossiant to her pile of food when her mother smacked her hand, "you're going to get fat and frankly as a super model I can't afford to have a pig daughter" said her mother, Irena glared at her mother "well I starve you wouldn't have a daughter" said Irena as she bit into another doughnut ignoring her mother's disgusted expression "Irena you do not speak to your mother like that!" Scolded her father, "go back to reading your newspaper father it suits you better" said Irena as she wiped her mouth with a napkin and left the room ignoring her father's yells. She entered the car telling her driver to go to the new Ceford Valley Lab.
Kimberly and Haylee took turns having a shower and dressing up they wore idetenical white flap collared down shirts, burgundy pinafore and a burgundy and black plaid ribbon tied like a bow. They rushed downstairs and gobbled down their food, "hey, hey, hey, what's the hurry?" Kimberly's mom asked as Haylee gulped down her orange juice in one swig "nothing we're just excited" Kimberly replied, as her father entered the house "okay girls the car is ready to go" he said as the girls jumped out of their seats and raced into the car.
Jake and Will were slipping into their clothes when Will's mother entered his room "mom!" Will cried he was on the floor one leg in his dark blue plaid trousers and the other one failing around the floor "oh come on what are you so embarrassed about I'm your mother, you too Jake I practically a eaten quickly as the boys didn't want to be late to school, their teacher Mr. Burns wasn't very kind to tardy students, after breakfast, they hopped into Will's dad's car and were on their way.
Cameron hurried put on his bed uniform which consisted of dark blue plaid trousers, a white collared shirt, dark tie and a dark blue sweater vest and raced down the stairs, gobbling down his breakfast and dropping some bacon for Dolly his foster parent's mutt, she ran in circles around his legs as he rubbed between her ears "I'll be back" he said to Dolly, "I'm heading out!" He said as he grabbed his coat "come back in one piece" Polly replied "preferably without blowing up the new lab" Parton added. Cameron unchained his bike and hopped on cycling down the street, he stopped by the Sheriff's house which was basically cabin right next to the woods, He climbed up the wooden steps leading to the door, his hand hovered over the doorbell, he could hear arguing "You're not my dad! Leave me alone!" Cal yelled as he's stormed out of the house, "hey" said Cam he could sense that his twin was still upset "hey" said Cal as he wheeled out his bike, they rode down the street in silence their childhood friend Zia joined them, "what's up with you guys?" She asked, Cam glanced at Cal, and Zia nodded as they continued riding in silence.
Ava slipped into her uniform a burgundy waist coat, white shirt, burgundy tie, red plaid skirt white socks and black shoes. She ran downstairs and ate her breakfast of one banana and yogurt before leaving the house luckily her mother wasn't around to question her.
Freddie sighed his adrenaline was back it seemed like the ten minutes of sleep he had managed to sneak in had charged him up, which was also the reason he was running late, he slipped on his plaid trousers, white shirt, blue tie and dark blue sweater vest. He ran downstairs one sock up and the other down, his untamable ginger hair was a rat nest and as he stuffed two pancakes in his mouth and two pieces of bacon he shoved his feet into his shoes and grabbed his coat, "Freddie slow down you'll choke" said his mom, "I've got to go I'm late" he replied through his mouthful of food  as he raced out the door and down the street his shoes hitting the pavement, he weaved in and out of the neighbors who were already used to his antics.
Sage sighed as she stood in line with everyone else to enter the bus, she frowned as she spotted a familiar ginger head, "Freddie?" She said as she made her way towards him "I didn't know you were in my class" she said "I'm not I'm in the class after yours you know year seven class two, I think my bus left already, so I hope your teacher doesn't check her registration list" said Freddie as Sage chuckled "she doesn't" she replied.
Nakamura Hina glanced out the windows of the aeroplane, she could only make out white fluffy clouds, she took deep breaths trying to calm herself but she couldn't not only was she going to a new school she was going to a new country, she gripped the armrests of her seat as the plane landed trying to calm her nerves 'it's going to be okay, you're Nakamura Hina you're the youngest samurai and master of the Taiyo sword technique you can protect yourself'  'who am I kidding none of that stuff is going to get me through middle school in america' she said to herself "passengers may now leave the plane"  the air hostess announced from the cockpit, Hina inhaled and exhaled as she unbuckled her seat belt. She had checked herself in the mirror satisfied with her yellow frilly skirt, white t-shirt with rainbows, ponies and glitter on it, her multicolored striped knee high socks, black boots that stopped at her calves, she had tied her hair in two bunches on either side of her head, with pink and blue hair clips holding back her bangs and the last but not the least her two samurai swords her Katana and Watazhagi hung by her hip. She made her way to the car park scanning it for the black yaris her aunt had told her about, she sighed in relief as she walked towards it and then frowned her aunt mentioned a guy with black hair all she saw was a dark skinned guy and a pretty black haired girl like really pretty, with soft glossy ringlets of black hair, white skin that glowed In the sun, dark sparkly eyes, a small nose, a beauty mark beside small plump lips, actually they looked like a couple a really good looking couple seeing as the dark skinned guy was equally as good looking as the girl with light brown skin tanned skin, with lighter brown curly hair, amber eyes and full lips, Hina wa starting to feel self conscious, "um, are you guys the people my aunt sent to pick me up?" She asked "she sent this dude, he dragged me along" said the dark skinned guy, Hina frowned "he?!" She asked, as the dark skinned guy laughed "is he transgender or something?" She asked "dude she thinks you're a girl" the dark skinned guy wheezed as the girl who was apparently a boy glared at him "shut up asshole" the girl boy muttered, 'he is a boy' Hina said to herself while he looked like a girl his voice was definitely male "you should have come gyming with me" said the dark skinned guy "I did! But the gym owner kept hitting on me even though I told him I was guy" said the girl boy, "I literally had to drag him to the toilets and pull down my shorts" "how did he react?" The dark skinned guy asked "he gave me fifty bucks to forget he ever flirted with me" the girl boy replied,  'jeez I'm such an idiot messing up even though I just got here' Hina said to herself "I'm really sorry" said Hina bowing "it's cool I get it a lot even from my grandma, she's the worst buying me princess dresses for Christmas" he said, she laughed and he smiled at her "I'm Reese and this asshole is Adriàn" said Reese "Hina, Nakamura Hina" she said, "please take care of me" she said bowing "wait. Hold up are those swords real?" Adriàn asked Hina frowned "uh huh" she replied as she unsheathed her blade "cool" said Adriàn as Reese loaded Gina's stuff in the boot "okay, I hope you like science cause we're going to a Lab" he said.
Adriàn stared in awe the was huge, crystal chandeliers hung from the ceilings and various artifacts were put up on display, Reese had his nose buried in the map while Hina was looking around in awe. The whole town was here. Well almost. Contrary to the popular belief that Ceford Valley was a small town it wasn't it was a huge expanse of land with over 300,000 town's folk so it was divided into two parts Northern point Valley and Southern point Valley  which of course consisted of Northern point Valley Prep and South Point Valley prep for the two schools were huge rivals in both sports and academics infact students of the two schools usually didn't mingle so it was surprising when Adriàn saw the two schools there. "Ma'am" said a guard tapping Hina's shoulder "yes?" She said "we're going to need to take your swords"said the guard "I'm afraid you can't do that, it's a family heirloom and I must keep it on me at all times" she replied "am afraid if you don't give it to I'll have to take it by force" said the guard, as Hina unsheathed her sword "you can try" she said, "um, okay Hina do you mind putting away the sword we don't want to injure the nice man here, I'm not sure our health insurance covers such" said Reese finally looking up from his nap, "you either let me keep my sword or you....." "Hey wait! Let me go!" Hina screeched hit the guard's back with her tiny feet her legs kicking wildly "are you two with her?" Another guard asked "unfortunately" Reese replied "then we'll have to kick you out" said the guard.
