Chapter4; The Laboratory

"We can always leave, we could head back to yours and watch netflix" Adriàn suggested as Reese paced up and down his nose still buried on the map "then what will I tell Sara?" Reese asked "tell her we went to the lab" said Adriàn "you mean we should lie to her" said Hina not at all feeling comfortable with that idea "it's not lying just selecting various truths besides we did enter the lab and then we got kicked out" said Adriàn "I can't lie to Sara that woman can smell fear and lies" said Reese "seriously?" Said Adriàn, Reese nodded in reply "you think if I knock out the guard's we can sneak in?" Hina asked "we want to enter a Lab not Rob a bank" said Adriàn "eureka!" Said Reese "eureka?"  Adriàn echoed  " no one has said that since  like ancient greece" said Adriàn "are you going to mock my vocabulary or ask me what I found" said Reese "what do you find?" Hina and Adriàn asked "we can sneak into the lab by the back door and crawl through the vent if we crawl forwards and drop down the vent we see, we should be in and far enough from the guards" said Reese.
    Freddie tapped his foot impatiently the scientist, Dr. Grey had been going on and on about fossils and Freddie was extremely bored and hyper. Sage frowned at Freddie his foot tapping was starting to get annoying, "Freddie can you stop tapping your feet for just one second?" Sage whispered "but I'm bored" he whispered back "so am I" Sage replied as Freddie groaned, he shuffled his feet trying to pay attention to what the scientist was saying but his mind kept drifting off and he his body was pulling with adrenaline, he sighed as a bright flash caught his eye momentarily blinding everyone "what was that?" Freddie asked "just an experm for some research we're carrying out which is off limits by the way" Dr. Grey added, Freddie groaned  just when he had found something interesting it just had to be off limits. Five minutes later Freddie couldn't take it he HAD to see what was behind that door his curiosity was killing him "you're not thinking of going in there, are you?" Sage whispered, as they entered another exhibit room full of Egyptian artifacts "no" he replied, Sage raised an eyebrow "okay, fine I am" said Freddie, "good then let's go" said Sage "wait seriously?" Said Freddie "yes, seriously"Sage replied as she grabbed his wrist and they departed from the steady stream of Southern point prep seventh graders.
Haylee squirmed, shifting her weight from one foot to the other, her stomach was a mess, gurgling and rumbling not to mention the terrible cramps. Kimberly frowned at her friend who was acting weird. Wait scratch that. Weirder than usual. "What's up?" Kimberly asked "I think the shrimp cocktails from last night and the toast from this morning are having a serious disagreement in my gut" Haylee explained "oh my god, I seriously need to shit" said Haylee as straight forward as ever "can you hold it in, I think we're almost done with the tour" said Kimberly, Haylee stared at her as if to say 'are you serious' "fine, let's go" said Kimberly as they broke away from the rest of their classmates.
Irena tried to pay attention to what the scientist Dr. Hugh was saying but that wasn't going to happen. Usually Irena found fossils intriguing and as a child would nearly give her mother heart attacks from digging through her perfectly trimmed garden in search for fossils, but Dr. Hugh's voice was so monotone that it was impossible for her to take interest in what he was saying, she did however use the time to admire the architecture of the lab (which was more of a museum) swarms of Northern point prep and Southern point prep students were gathered not to mention tourists that were visiting the town, there were different rooms for different artifacts and discoveries each sperated by glass windows and floors. Irena sighed as she caught a familiar ginger sneaking through the crowd with a blonde dragging him, "I wonder we're they're going" she muttered as she turned her attention back to the boring lecture, "I guess I should follow them beats staying here" she muttered as she snuck away from her classmates.
Ava was bored out of her mind, she was really excited for the field trip but it turned out to be boring. How disappointing. So when she saw Sage and Freddie sneaking away from their classmates she didn't even question her decision to follow them. She kept her eyes on the. Watching as they snuck into another room that was marked off limits. Ava carefully walked down the glass steps and weaved in and out of guests before she finally reached the door, "Irena?" She asked "Ava?" Said Irena equally as surprised as Ava "why are you here?" Irena asked as Ava grinned "same reason you're here, c'mon let's go" she said grabbing Irena's wrist and leading her into the room.
Cal, Cam and Zia groaned in unision as Dr. Ray once again launched into another explanation on rocks "I already have to deal with this in school but here too? No way" said Cal he had calmed down a since this morning "I know, my brain's turning into mush" Cam groaned as Zia giggled. Cam was messing around with Zia when Cal spotted, Ava dragging Irena Into a room marked 'Off Limits' "Cal what's up?" Cam asked, "I just saw Irena and Ava sneak into that room" Cal replied "should we follow them?" Cam asked "hell yeah" Cal replied as the two of them made their way through the crowd and into the room.
Jake was sore his muscles were still recovering from yesterday and standing for two hours straight didn't make it any better, he groaned in pain "what's up?" Will asked Jake glared at him "don't act like you didn't do this to me last night" said Jake, Will blinked innocently "whatever are you talking about" said Will, "I told you we shouldn't do it but you refused to listen" said Jake "I don't remember you hating it" said Will "why do you guys sound like you banged last night" said Sam Will and Jake's other best friend "what the hell?!" Said Jake "we just went jogging last night" Will explained as Sam nodded. "Hey, hey, hey" said Will elbowing Jake's side "what?!" Said Jake "I just saw Cal and Cam go into that room that says off limits" said Will "we're definitely following them" said Jake "definitely" said Will.
"We're in" said Reese as they snuck in through the back door, which was surprisingly unprotected minus the fact that there was a huge dumpster right beside the door that smelt awful like dead fishes, rats and poop,    Reese was pretty sure his clothes smelt like it, no wonder they didn't station any guard's there, "when I leave this place I'm going straight to the hospital" said Adriàn "why?" Hina asked as they searched for the vents "I'm pretty sure tthe stench from the dumpster must have damaged my lungs" he replied "okay found the vent" said Reese, pointing the flashlight upwards "Hina you go in first since you're the smallest and shortest Adriàn can hold you up" said Reese as Hina nodded Adriàn carried Hina up by her waist and she reached for the metal grails and removed them then crawled in, Reese followed then Adriàn. "So which way?" Adriàn asked "we go left"  Reese replied as they took a left "then a right" they took a right "then a left" they took a left "okay I feel the grail" said Reese as he pushed downwards the grail fell to the floor making a clanging noise, Reese jumped down then Hina and Adriàn, "what the hell?" Said Adriàn.
Kimberly tapped her foot as she waited for Haylee to finish her business. A few minutes later the toilet flushed and Haylee came out from the stall her posture relaxed "let's go" said Kimberly as Haylee dried her hands, they left the toilet  walking down the huge marble hallways "okay so were do we go?" Haylee asked "I don't know" Kimberly replied as they walked around. A few minutes later the girls found themselves on front of a door labelled 'off limits' "is it weird that I want to enter even though it says off limits" said Haylee "no, no it's not" said Kimberly as she pushed open the door and they entered the room
