CHAPTER 13; HOSPITAL BATTLE

Irena was the first to react her eyes turned white and she thrust out her hand creating multiple ice spikes, the witch cackled and pressed her hand against the floor creating multiple blood spikes that crushed Irena's blood spikes, she waved her hand and more blood spikes erupted from the ground, Jake, Will and Irena managed to avoid it, the witch placed her hand on the walls and blood spikes erupted from the walls, Jake made a slashing gesture with his hands, and the wind around them sliced the spikes in half, the witch growled as she thrust out her hand sending a blast of red smoking blood towards them, Irena threw out her hand freezing the blood midway, she lunged at them turning her nails into blood claws, Jake threw out his hand releasing a blast of wind that knocked her backwards slamming her into a wall, the witch snarled as she placed her hand on the ground but Will quickly dropped to the ground and channeled his lightning through the ground. The witch screamed in agony as the lightning electrocuted her, "do you think that will kill her?" Jake asked, "I think-" Will was cut short when in the blink of an eye the witch full body slammed him into a wall, he groaned in pain as his head hit the walls, the witch firmly gripped his neck, as she placed her nose against the crook of his neck, "delicious" she muttered as her grip tightened, Irena thrust out her hands sending a wave of small ice daggers, the witch thrust out her free hand, sending a blast of blood that melted the ice, she turned to face Will ready to take a bite out of his neck, but he placed his hand on her shoulder and channeled his powers through his finger tips and to her body, she screamed again letting go of him, as she stumbled around maniacally, Irena made a fist and in it she formed an huge ice dagger, the witch was on her knees screaming and clawing at her skin as Will's lightning continued to course through her veins, Irena threw the dagger and it embedded itself in middle of the witch's chest, she paused her screaming stopped as she feel face flat on the ground, "we did it!" said Jake cheered, "we managed to not die" said Will rubbing the back of his head which was still sore, "way to be-" Irena's sentence was cut short, she gasped it felt like her entire body was on fire, she struggled to breathe as she fell on her knees clutching her chest, she wanted to claw of her skin, she wanted to scream but the pain was so unbearable she was seeing white, from the corner of her eye she could see Jake and Will suffering the same fate as cackled echoed through the room, the witch stood up, the ice dagger was still stuck in her chest but that didn't seem to affect her, as she turned her hands into fist, Irena gasped the intense heat she was feeling went up, it was so bad her pale skin was starting to turn bright red, as her blood continued to boil she could feel it dribbling down her nose leaving a scorching trail behind, as her vision darkened...

The three girls gulped as the witch approached them, the blood that dripped down her fingers had now turned into this barely visible red blood strings, "what do we do?" Kimberly asked Haylee as the back away, "um,  my dad always says observe the enemy, make eye contact and try to read your opponents move" she replied, "we're dealing with a witch not MMA junior participants" said Kimberly, "maybe we should-" Ava was cut short as the witch thrust out her hand sending multiple blood threads towards them like a net, quickly Haylee pushed them out of the way, as her eyes turned bronze and she burst into flames burning the strings, "dammit, inferno" she muttered as Haylee charged she threw a punch the but witch caught it, Haylee growled as the witch tightened her fist, she kicked the witch in the chest making her fly backwards, the witch shot out her arms, thick blood strings wrapping round Haylee's arms and before she could react, the string yanked her forward  towards  the witch,who slammed her into the wall. The witch turned to face the two girls, she threw out her hand sending another wave of thick blood strings  Kimberly growled as she deftly caught the strings, she yanked the witch forward with them and when she was close enough, she slammed her forehead into the witch's making the witch stumble backwards, Ava thrust out her hand slamming the witch into the wall repeatedly until she crumbled, "we did it!" Ava cheered as she gave Kimberly a high five, Haylee approached them, "god, i feel terrible" she said "but on the plus side the witch is dead" she said, "yeah, you should burn her body for good measure" said Kimberly, "yeah" said Ava as they turned to where the witch's body lay, "Crap!" Haylee muttered, as something warm and wet wrapped around her ankle, middle and wrists, she turned to the others, Ava looked pale, "what's going on?" she asked, "my blood web" said the witch, as she raised her hands, the strings lifted the girls off the ground as she turned her hands into fist, the strings tightened, cutting into her flesh, Haylee tried to call on her powers but intense pain surged through her body, "don't body darling, if you try to summon your fire, you'll die" she said.
