Chapter5; The Oak Tree

Kimberly, Haylee and the others watched in shock as, Reese, Adriàn and a japanese girl dropped down from the vents. Adriàn got up first looking around like he was lost "what the hell?" He said as Reese and the Japanese girl stood up "what the hell is that?" Said Reese, the room was huge and completely white, it was separated In half by a glass plane, were they stood was equipped with super computers, huge evidence boards, projectors and huge screens, on the other side was a swirling vortex of different colors "are supposed to be here?" The Japanese girl asked "no I'm pretty sure that's why it's off limits" said Sage, "so what is that thing?" Jack asked as they watched the portal swirl entranced by it's beauty "It's beautiful" Ava muttered, "does anyone have the strange urge to walk through that vortex?" Cal asked "yes" the others replied "good l" he said as started to walk towards it the others followed behind him, fortunately there was a glass door so they could enter. "So who's going first?" Reese asked "how about the person that suggested it" Adriàn replied "no thanks" said Reese, "fine! I'll go" said Irena as she pushed past them and stepped through the vortex, the others followed.
Hina felt like she was falling, she was surrounded by darkness and she was falling so fast she could barely reach for her swords. After what seemed like forever she finally landed, she groaned as she stood up accessing her area, it was a huge clearing, with sparkling green grass greener than anything she had ever seen, dainty pink flowers grew here and there with a little patch of yellow primroses in the middle of the clearance was a massive beautiful green oak tree even though it was atumum and all the leaves should have fallen, "are in heaven?" Said Freddie "hopefully" said Reese as the group stared at the oak tree in awe "it looks so majestic" said Ava "it's probably been here for a loong time" said Will "I wonder what it feels like" Cam said, "me too, but it might be poisoned or something" said Jake "okay then on three" said Adriàn "one, two, three"
Will gasped it was like electricity was running through his veins, thunder flashed before his eyes...
Cam felt so light like all his body weight had been decreased to nothing, he was pretty sure he felt his feet  had hovered above the ground...
Irena felt a blast of cold air. Usually the cold didn't bother her infact she took cold showers during the winter but now it was like ice was tearing through her skin, freezing her entire being and leaving her body numb...
Freddie felt a surge of adrenaline. So much so that his feet began to move on their own eager to race around the grassy clearing...
Sage felt as if her eyes had been opened, not literally but she could see things, things that had happened in the past and things that will happen...
Reese felt like   he had blacked out. Everywhere was dark and cold her couldn't see anything but he could hear hushed whispers and he could feel cold hands grabbing on to his arms...
kimberly could see the moon. A full moon. Followed by a powerful and terrifying howl as looked around and saw a majestic looking wolf with large sleek body, shiny sliver fur that glowed in the moonlight and two different colored glowing eyes one red and one silver....
Jake felt like he was in the middle of a storm, winds raged all around him, lightning boomed as thunder danced in the sky...
All Hina could feet was light and warmth, light beams bathed the area in golden light as Hina stared in awe and wonder...
Ava felt like someone had electrified her brain, her head felt like and empty, she felt dizzy and lightheaded, her senses were all scrambled and her body felt numb....
Haylee could feel the heat of the fire raging all around her in the midst of the flames she spotted a huge black three headed dog, it was only for a moment and it was gone.
Adriàn stared as fire swirled all around him, dancing and lightning the area with orange and azure flames, in the midst of the fire he saw a huge black three headed dog....
Cal could feel energy pushing through his veins, swirling around him lightning the area with orange light...
They gasped and let go of the tree branches, "did you guys see that?" Cal gasped "that was the weirdest thing ever" said Will "do oak tree usually do that?" Freddie asked "only the ones that you see at the end of a portal in an off limits room of a lab" Reese replied "what do you tht is going to happen to us?" Hina asked, "what we're going to happy to us is that we're going to leave this place and pretend this never ever happened" said Adriàn "what if something weird happens?" Cam asked "then it's puberty" Reese replied, "seriously" said Cam, Reese shrugged "always worked on Sara" he said "anyways we better start looking for that portal" said Will.
They found the swirl vortex and one by one they went through the portal then they snuck out of the off limits lab. "So, Hina did you enjoy the lab trip?" Reese asked as he drove to Adriàn's house "it was......weird" Hina replied as Reese parked by Adriàn's house, "I'll see you on Monday" said Adriàn as he left the car, "yes, goodbye" said Reese as he drove off...
Emily Brit waited until she saw the light under her parent's door go off, notifying her that her parents were most definitely asleep. She opened her bedroom window, she shimmed down and landed in the soft bushes just below her window  she straightened her skin tight purple jumpsuit, she was wearing lace up sandals that she planned to change into three inch stelleto heels at the party, for now she needed the sandals so she could get to the party on time seeing as she had no car and her best friend Brielle couldn't pick her up because she had suddenly fallen ill the day before the party.
Emily made her way through the thick dense woods, it was unfortunately the shortest route to get to Andrew's house where the party was being held. The wind howled and blew cold air on her face she shivered hugging herself and suddenly regretting not wearing a coat. She continued down the woods undeterred by the cold and nearly freez atumum wind, until she heard a high pitched wail she covered her ears with her hands but she could still hear the terrifying wails, the noise slipped in between the gaps in her fingers until it felt like the person was wailing in her ear her heart pounded in her chest as blood dribbled down her ears staining her hands with blood she collapsed as the wailing grew louder and air thinner and colder, she was literally hyperventilating when she felt something wrap around her ankles, she suddenly remembered the article she saw her dad read that morning 'Anna Beck and Sandra Woods found dead in Ceford Valley Woods' her heart pounded harder as the wails grew even louder she screamed as the thing that had grabbed her ankle dragged her backwards she clawed at the grass ignoring the fact that she was breaking her fingernails, she screamed until she couldn't scream again.
