Lillian's POV

It's been almost three weeks since Ashton and I had that mishap in front of the coffee shop. I've tried to talk to him but he seems to not care, he just doesn't answer me. Claudia talks to me sometimes but I have to be the one to start the  conversation. The only person I had was Michael now, and did I ever think I would be depending on someone with no way of communicating with me...

Michael tapped on my shoulder as I jumped and shut my book. He smiled at me before holding up a small coffee. I smiled and took it from his hands, the warmth from the cup made my hands burn a bit.

"So, how is the new project coming along for class?"

I studied his lips and watched his hands slowly going through the signs. He was getting better, a few mix ups here and there but overall he was trying. I smiled at him before pushing some of my hair back behind my ear.

It's going great. Hopefully she'll like it.

He smiled at me before taking a bite out of his food. I smiled at him before taking a sip of my coffee and scanning outside the windows of the coffee shop. The clouds outside were turning a dark black color as they merged together into one big cloud.

"Maybe we should leave before the storm hits?"

Michael's hands slowly moved as I nodded. I lifted up from my chair, scooping my things into my bag before slinging it over my shoulder. Michael waited as I grabbed my coffee and followed him out of the small building.

The wind outside was starting to pick up as the crowds of people began to bunch up along the sidewalk. Michael quickly intertwined his fingers with mine before walking towards the bus stop, which wasn't far.

"Sorry my apartment isn't that nice."

I shook my head before scanning his small living room. It wasn't what I had expected of a college student, let alone a boy. The furniture was black, grey and some red accent things here and there. As I made my way towards the kitchen, the better the house got. The kitchen was spotless as I raised my eyebrows and looked over at Michael. He was leaning against the wall, a smirk plastered across his face.

"Not as clean as you thought it would be is it,Lil?"

I giggled before shaking my head. He tilted his head towards the small hallway as I followed him. His bedroom consisted of a desk with his desktop, a large bed and a guitar. I noticed something moving underneath the bed as I narrowed my eyes before lifting up the covers slightly. A small paw peeked out as I practically squealed. I felt the floor shift underneath me as Michael moved towards me before leaning over and scooping the cat into his arms.

I stood back up as I smiled at Michael.

What's it's name?

"Teddy."

The cat moved it's head against Michael's hand before closing it's small green eyes. Michael sat him down on his bed as he spun around in a circle and curled up.

"Well this is it." Michael signed before holding his hands up. I nodded before smiling and looking around the room one last time.

It's clean and nice. Totally didn't expect this from you.

"Yeah well I didn't show you the bathroom but there may be hair dye everywhere.."

I giggled before shaking my head and following him out of the bedroom. He pointed over to the couch as I walked over and plopped down. I noticed he had a gaming system, as I grabbed the controller and hit the button.

"LIL!"

If I could hear Michael shouting I would be dead. I was already crying at how aggravated he was getting over a game. Sometime between playing the games, I had moved my way in between Michael's lap. His arms were wrapped around me as he moved the joy sticks.

I leaned back against his chest before moving the sticks again. I was heading towards the goal for the winning shot when Michael slung his controller on the floor and wrapped his hands around mine. His thumbs were guiding me across the field as I gasped.

I shook my head quickly as I tried moving the sticks back the other direction but Michael had hit the kick button. Game Over came across the screen as I turned around and frowned at Michael.

Sore loser. I was winning!

"Awe, is someone sad." He signed before frowning at me.

I kept frowning as he did the same. His plump pink lips stuck out as I slowly started to smile. I put my hands over my face before shaking my head.

Michael grabbed my hands before nodding his head towards the door.

"Your phone is flashing."

I stood up before walking over to my purse hanging on the door. I pulled my phone out of my pocket before noticing it was text message from Claudia.

Lillian...

Ash has been in an accident.

I dropped my phone before looking over at Michael.

I've gotta go!

I grabbed my purse and ran out the door. Ignoring the storm that was overhead, and the rain that was pouring down.
