Michael's POV

After walking off the bus, and smiling back at Lillian. I pulled open the front door of the shop and motioned for her to walk in first. She smiled at me before walking inside, I waved off to one of the employee's before tapping her shoulder.

"My class is in ten minutes and I have to get set up, okay?" I said as she followed my lips and nodded. I walked off into the back grabbing some chairs and the kids guitar's and making a circle. Lillian was walking throughout the store letting her fingers glide over the strings. She's has no clue what a guitar sounds like, and I have no way of showing her my mad skills..man

I mentally groaned before hearing the door. The same 8 kids ran inside and waved off to their parents before plopping down in their chair's and grabbing their guitars.

"Hey kiddo's." I said sitting down in the chair and grabbing my guitar.

"How was school today?"

The kids groaned as I chuckled and nodded, "Let's not talk about lame school, let's rock out."

The kids shouted as I laughed, and began to teach new chords to the students. When I first got this job I thought it was going to be horrible, that the kids were going to be whinny and gross but I have a good set of kids to teach. I wouldn't take this job back for the world. Teaching music to people makes me happy, and teaching children music  truly is beautiful and means a lot to me.

"Alright kiddo's let's take a 5 minute break." I said, before sitting my guitar on the side of the chair.

"Mikey, who's that?" One of the girls said pointing to the back of the store. I leaned over noticing Lillian had gotten a guitar down and was strumming some chords. I slowly smiled before standing up.

"A friend."

I walked over to her, she didn't look up. I stood there and watched her fingers slowly strum. Her hair kept falling in front of her face as she pushed it back, she must have seen me standing there as she stopped. She looked up at me, she looked worried as I held my hands up and shook my head.

"No, you can keep going. You aren't bothering anyone." I said smiling as I crossed my arms as she smiled at me before looking behind me. I turned around and noticed one of my students was standing behind me. I bent down as she walked over to me.

"Yes Ana?"

"She has pretty hair." She whispered as I chuckled and looked at Lillian before smiling and nodding. Lillian looked at me before narrowing her eyes, as I looked back at Ana.

"She can't hear you." I said softly as Ana looked at me and narrowed her little eyes.

"She's special." I said as Ana smiled and looked back at Lillian.

Ana gasped before looking at Lillian. Lillian narrowed her eyes again before giving me a look as I smiled. I looked back at Ana before pointing to the group.

"Go get the group back together, okay. I'll be there in a few!"

Ana shook her head before running off to the group. I looked back at Lillian before smiling at her, she had put the guitar beside her. I stood back up and reached my hand out for her.

"C'mon I want you to come watch us." I smiled as she stood up and grabbed my hand before following me to the front of the store. I pointed to my seat as she sat down as I grabbed my guitar and looked at the group.

"This is Lillian, she's special. She can't hear us, so no matter how much we mess up she will love it." I said as the group giggled as I looked at Lillian who was smiling at the kids.

The group of kids started to play the song I had taught them as Lillian followed their fingers and smiled.

After ushering the kids out of store and cleaning up some things Lillian was leaning against the counter.

"Want to grab some coffee?" I spoke before grabbing my keys as she smiled and nodded.

I opened the door as Lillian walked out. I shut the door before locking it behind me.

Lillian had already walked across the street as I shook my head and chuckled before following her inside. She stood in front of me in line when someone turned around and smacked into her.

The person groaned before dropping his coffee. He looked up at Lillian before shouting directly in her face.

"Are you fucking deaf!?"

I could feel every muscle in my body tensing as I pulled Lillian aside before standing in front of her.

"Actually she is, so why don't you watch where you are going next time and shut the hell up." I spat out loudly as the man groaned before throwing his hands up and walking out. One of the baristas had cleaned up the mess as Lillian had moved closer to me as I felt her hand pull on my fingers a bit.

I looked down at her as I gave her a soft smile, reassuring her that she was going to be fine. We were next in line to order when the door opened up. I looked back to notice someone familiar walking in, as I felt my muscles that were trying to loosen up tense up once again.
