Chapter 8

Ashton's POV

        I pushed open the large door's to the front of the school, as I pulled my backpack up on my shoulder before making my way down the long hallway and upstairs. Claudia was standing in front of her locker. I took a deep breath before walking over to her, and standing next to her locker.

Her eyes looked over at me quickly before she groaned, and shut her locker. 

"Claudia, just listen."

She stood there, her back facing me as she finally turned around. 

"Two minutes."

I took a deep breath before nodding.

"I told Lillian that we were going to the movies because I just wanted us to hang out." 

She narrowed her eyes at me before opening her mouth, I shook my head before holding my hand up.

"I know, that sounds like a total dick move. I shouldn't have lied to her like that, and I wish I could take it back. So, can we please just forget about it." 

She crossed her arm's before shaking her head, "We will have to see what Lillian says first." 

The bell went off as she turned around and walked off. I let out a sigh before walking down the hall towards my class. I know exactly what Lillian is going to say, she's still probably upset with me.

I pulled my journal out from my bag along with my lunch, I started to open the front page when someone sat in front of me. I slowly looked up to see Claudia, she slowly smiled at me.

"Hey."

Hey?

She pulled her lunch out along with a book.

"We don't have to talk, I just wanted to come see how you are doing." 

I'd actually love to talk. 

She smiled at me before taking a bite of her food, and holding out her hand. She was signalling for me to go on and talk when I saw Ashton out of the corner of my eye coming this way. I slowly stiffened up as he walked over to the table and sat down slowly. 

"Hi."

I narrowed my eyes at him as I looked back down and took a bite of my salad. I looked back up as he sat his lunch in front of him.

"How have you been?"

Good. What are you doing here?

He slowly swallowed before wiping his hands together, "I came to apologize."

I started to hold my hands up when he reached over and pushed them down. He began to shake his head as he held his hands up. He didn't speak, he only signed. 

I'm sorry for what I did. I wanted to hang out with Claudia, just me and her. It sounds dumb, I could have just told you I wanted it to be just Claudia and I but I didn't want you to think  I was replacing you. I'm sorry for lying to you, and causing this big thing. 

He dropped his hands to his sides before I held up my hand, Okay.

I accept your apology, and you have to take me to school tomorrow.

He slowly smiled before nodding, as we all began to eat our lunch.

"So, what were you going to tell me?" Claudia signed as I looked at Ashton and at her before smiling. 

I like this boy. 

Ashton's eyes went wide before he looked at me as Claudia smiled and nodded. 

"What is he like? Where did you meet him?" Ashton began to sign quickly as I laughed. 

Chill out, Ash. He's from my photography class, and his name is Michael. 

"Will I get to meet him?" Ashton said quickly as Claudia laughed before taking a bite of her food. 

Not anytime soon Ash.

The light began to flash outside the school as I looked at Ashton and Claudia and smiled.
