Lillian's POV

The light in my room flashed indicating that someone was at the front door. The light seemed like it hadn't went off in months. My bedroom door slowly opened up, Michael's face peeked around the corner. He faintly smiled at me before looking down at the floor.

"What the hell happened in here?" He signed examining the floor. I slowly raised up and looked down at the floor and the bed. Photo's were thrown everywhere, polaroids and film strips of Ash and I.

I was trying to make a photo album for Ashton.

Michael scooped some of them up into his hands before smiling. I hadn't seen Michael smile in weeks as I slowly smiled. He looked up at me and narrowed his eyes, placing the photos on the end of my bed.

"What?"

Nothing, just haven't seen you smile in awhile. I didn't realize how much I missed it.

"I haven't see you smile either in awhile so let me see that smile."

I shook my head as Michael shook his, faking his feelings were hurt, and quickly lunging at me. I fell back on the bed giggling as Michael smiled and pushed the strands of hair away from my face. I hadn't been this close to him since the day we played video games. His thumb laid against the side of my cheek as he slightly stroked it. He pulled his thumb away and began to sign.

"I know things have been hard for you these past weeks Lil but I promise everything will be better."

I just hope Ashton remembers me.

"If not we will force him. Come on, I'll help you with the photo album." He signed lifting up onto the bed. I lifted up and scooped all the pictures on the bed into a pile. Michael began to pick up the ones on the floor as I slid off the bed and walked over to the closet pulling out one of my empty photo albums.

Hours and hours of gluing the photos into the photo album it was finally done. Michael slung his arms up and leaned back against the kitchen chair. Michael had insisted on moving everything to his apartment because I also needed to see Teddy. He had made a napping place in my lap during the whole crafting time.

"I want lunch and then we can go visit Ash?" He signed as I nodded. He stood up and disappeared into the kitchen. I opened the photo album and began to look at the photo's. When I was younger I had a habit of holding onto Ashton. I giggled at my favorite picture of Ashton standing beside of a crushed sandcastle all angry because I had decided I wanted to be the princess of the castle and I had to "go inside". Ashton couldn't stay mad at me long that day. I flipped through the pages there was so many memories that I could remember. So many that he probably would forget..forever.

Michael caught my attention by shining a mirror into the room reflecting it onto the book. I narrowed my eyes before quickly looking over at him, he was laughing. I shook my head and stood up shutting the book back and carefully setting Teddy down on the floor.

______________
I pushed open the door to Ashton's room, he was sitting up again. Ann Marie was sitting at the foot of the bed as she turned around noticing me standing by the door. She faintly smiled at me and walked over. Before I could raise my hands up she quickly grabbed me in a hug. She was probably an emotional wreck and I hadn't had a chance to ask how she was. She raised her head up from my shoulder and pulled open the door behind me. I let out a faint sigh, looking over at Ashton. His golden hair was pulled back into a bun something I hadn't seen on him. I slowly walked over to the front of the bed. He raised his hand up slowly.

"Hello.."
I slowly sighed and smiled. I looked over at the small pad of paper and pen on the night stand. I grabbed it and wrote quickly.

It's so nice seeing you actually be awake.

I passed the paper to him as he read it and wrote down on the pad. His long fingers seemed like they had no problem writing. He handed the pad to me.

Yeah..Sorry I forgot that you can't hear.

I shook my head and sat the pad down on the bed. I pulled my bag away from my side, yanking out the black photo album. I slowly passed it to Ashton and sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Maybe this will help you remember." I said quietly as he watched me. He slowly opened the book and ran his long fingers across the pictures. My heart felt like it was going to pound out of my chest.

He reached the end of the book and looked up at me. His red eyes were not a good sign.

"I'm so sorry.." He spoke quietly.
"I don't remember you.."

I hated feeling as if everything I was trying to do, no matter what Ashton isn't going to know who I am. I slowly nodded and tucked the book back into my bag and lifted up from the hospital bed. He grabbed ahold of my hand as I looked up at him. He faintly smiled and grabbed the pad and quickly began to scribble some words. He passed the small pad back to me as I looked down.

It doesn't mean that we can't keep trying! I want to remember everything again, just give me some time.

I looked back up at him, his small dimples I had missed when he smiled at me. I slowly smiled back before throwing my arms around him. This was going to be a tough journey but I've been through tougher...I'm deaf for crying out loud.
