Chapter 11: (The Ones They Thought Were Kept In The Dark)

(Third Person's P.O.V)

"Is it just me or something is up with them?" Angelica whispers to Jacob, Nathan, Cathy, and Irene while subtly pointing at the three Royalties and Lucian and Ezekiel who are awfully quiet in their own ways. The Clivenrix students aren't present because they are with Alynzy in the infirmary. They were informed that Alynzy wasn't feeling well again.

They nodded in agreement as they watched the five. Both parties seemed to be in distress, the three Royalties are looking pale and tensed in their seats as though they just finished watching a horror movie, while Lucian and Ezekiel looked worried as they seemed to be deep in thought.

Jack, Zelda, and Jazmine looked at each other before nodding as if they were communicating and sharing a look that they finally came into an understanding. "Alright, let's tell them. There's no guarantee what I saw was real or just a pigment of my imagination, but we must investigate." Said Jack.

"Tell us what?" Irene asked.

Lucian and Ezekiel seemed to snap out of their trance as they gave their attention to the three Royalties.

"Yeah, what is it?" Angelica asked eagerly.

Jazmine looked around the school lounge they were in. There are students all around the lounge. "Before we do, let's talk it out somewhere private." Said Jazmine.

They frowned in confusion and wonder but agreed anyway.

"Sure, let's go to the back garden." Cathy suggested.

They nodded. Zelda and Jack held their hands together to teleport all of them in the back garden. To their relief, no one was around.

"It's about Agatha." Jack began making them all tense.

Lucian and Ezekiel weren't kept behind about Agatha's identity. Although they already knew who she was, they had to pretend they knew nothing when they first stepped foot in Adarakira. When they became friends with Angelica and the others, that's when they told Lucian and Ezekiel about Agatha. They would talk about her from time to time, through that, Lucian and Ezekiel had learned more about her and her friendship with the others.

Since Lucian and Ezekiel were already part of their circle of friends, everything the others know, they know as well.

"What about her?" Irene found herself asking.

Jack lowered his gaze, his face was somber but serious. "I think I saw her yesterday."

Their breaths hitch, eyes widening in shock. Silent gasps escape their lips, except Lucian and Ezekiel who tensed even more.

They shared a look of alarm.

"W-What?" Angelica asked, breathless. "That can't be possible, right?"

Jack rubbed his face, then he shook his head. "Wait, no. Let me rephrase." He took a deep breath and looked at them. "I think I saw Crystal yesterday."

Lucian and Ezekiel stopped breathing.

While the rest fell into more shock.

They know what he meant. They knew Agatha was Crystal. Irene and Zelda were the ones who told and confirmed it to them.

*Flashback* -One Month After The War- [Hidden part of Epilogue in Book 1, right after Jazmine, Jack, and Zelda officially separated themselves from the other Royalties who tried talking to them.]

Irene was sobbing silently, still consumed by grief as she held onto the gift she was supposed to give Agatha. She was in the school's garden, sitting under a tree while hugging her knees close to her chest.
